Seedling root just kept growing up out of the dirt!

Hey all! Never seen this, just thought it was interesting and wanted to share

Planted the seeds 2.5 days ago, no pre-germination at all. Seed straight to dirt. I use Black Gold seedling mix and watered with RO/well water mix and a tiiinnny bit of KSi.

Went to bed with no seedlings, woke up to 6! Wasn't expecting them so early so I didn't have their overhead light on last night. This seed's root just kept growing out of the dirt like a stem; I didn't want to disturb or touch the tap root so I just put some more seedling mix on top of the root and misted it. Thinking it should make a good recovery

You planted that one upside down, newb mistake, didn't you read the instructions?

You are on the right track with covering the roots and getting some light on them.

There is no such thing as planting it upside down if it isn't pregerminated. The seed will right itself, I think it was just dark so root growth didn't stop.
