i germed mine in toilet paper then put them in moist ocean forest once they cracked. Works good. Just dont let the soil dry out ...i let mine dry too much and killed my 1st set.

i have germed directly in OF no prob but then have read other people saying it was just a little too "hot" for their CLONES even.nuggler

Its never been too "hot" for my seedlings or new clones,how can unferted soil be "hot" anyways?I've heard this a million times and still dont understand it

well like i said I had NO PROBLEMS but if you have really ever used OF and read the bag or even gone to the Fox Farm site to read up on their products you'll see that it's not "unfertilized" as you say. Bat guano, worm castings, crab meal and sea kelp and more are in there. this is not some bail of Promix with nothing in it dude. 
Now these amendments seem to be just a little too much for seedlings etc. for some people have reported this. nuggler

Is there an NPK rating?Didn't think so lol,unferted soil.People that report fox farm being "hot" better check their water or something else.
