They are in FFOF and I am guessing I got a bad bag of FFOF finally. Pretty much the same method and environment as has been used on 150+ seeds with no problems.

The only thing I have used different this time is well water from a pump outback that came out at 6.5 ph so I thought it would not fluctuate but I just re calibarated my pens and it is showing 7.0 now...Could this also be too high ph? I do notice a little leaf curl going on but it would it also cause the leaves to dry up extremely quick?

Should I trans plant into new soil? I have plenty of plain promix. If I do transplant do I knock off all the soil around roots?

Thanks a lot for any help

The FFOF might be a bit hot for them
Can you flush it perhaps, have you taken an e.c reading off your runoff to get an idea of how high the e.c is
I cant get FFOF where i am but i have read alot of people say that it can be hot, as you said think you got a bad bag

Yea, that's my guess I just don't want to transplant the seedlings yet without knowing exactly how to handle it. Bang off all the soil or not?

I've gone back to watering with my bubbled tap water as I was concerned about the well water because it leaves a rust color film all over the buckets and turns a rust color after sitting for a couple of hours. It's the only other possible problem.

The P.h at 6.5 should be just acceptable but that rust hmm.. i dont like the sound of that
Goodluck with their recovery
Are these your testers?

Only one ofem is doing this that is a tester but these are original strawberry D seeds, chemdog bx2 , and killer chemdog.. and very crucial they live right now.

And I had to edit the first post ph is 7.0 so I of course know now that is way too high...and this might just be ph but I don't know whether to transplant or not.

Alright did some preemptive action. Took the worst 3 and knocked off as much top soil as I could safely and transplanted them into 6in square pots of plain pro mix hp and watered with ph 6.5 water pretty thoroughly till slight run off.

We'll see if they bounce back these guys tend to be pretty hardy.
