seeded clone

hey everyone,sorry NO PICTURES.
:fsu:.I have a couple questions, about female seeds1.how are they made.2I have a clone from my past outdoor grow.i took her about the 4-1/2 week of flowering. She's been in my window for a while now,but lately she has been having drooping leafes and the buds have been getting smaller.Upon closer inspection of the lower budsite,i discovered a seed.how could this have happened? whats the chance that the seed(if it gets mature enough) will be female?

Your plant hermied. The seeds arent good for much, if your desperate you can grow them out... but most likely the offspring will hermie.

be a little patient mate.....its a kinda question that you 'can' figure out on your own...

i can't say for shure but seeded plants dont reveg.....if i have it correct that is !!

how it could happen ...i dont know ...could be some pollen from the air...maybe it hermied on ya.....lots of possebilleties (dont mind typo's mate)

and as for the seed...that also depends on the enviroment and other things...i say you got a 50 -50 % chanse on a girl.....

thanks man.sorry im inpatient guys,my friend referred me to the site and he said everyone was really kool here and would give alot of helpful knowledge to noobs like me.as i said this was a clone,i currentely only have clones in my house, and its already been below 15 degrees here so i doubt theres any plants still out,so we can roll out pollination.im not exactly how she got stressed tho,she was sitting on my table infront of a window.thank u guys very much for answering my ?,i was hoping that the bean would be good,so i could keep the genes around, shes a very good plant, but if u think not ill just chop whats there.thanks again.peace

The stress probably came from leaving it near a window inside, and any light you have on at the time will be absorbed by the plant....
This kind of light stress will cause hermies..
If you let the seed mature it may very well be a viable seed, only way to know is to grow it...
Definently get a light and a small cab or something, nothings gonna grow without good proper light cycles, and the right kind of light...

:yoinks: :yoinks: hey everyone, thanks for the advice.although now i know there is no saving her,i decided maybe she needed a transplant.cut the bottom out of the pot and let it fall on a plate.to my surprise their was no roots. :badday: has anyone heard of bugs eating roots or something similar.sorry for so many questions.but this one really got me wondering.peace

There are bugs that can eat roots, there's also root rot...
As for lighting, if your going to wallymart, you could find some compact flouro's, aka spiral bulbs, some cheap lamps, some light socket Y connectors, and a cabinet of some sort...
HID's btw you don't need to be an electrician to use, most of the time they come pre wired and all you have to do is put in the bulb and plug into the wall..
What you do need though is a space for an hid, whether it be a closet, mill's pride cab or a home made cab..
Also need a largish exhaust fan, and a regular blowing fan...
Check out these threads, they'll give you some ideas..

thanks for the quick reply man,i have a spare room so maybe it would be better to go with the hid.If its as easy as you say it is,and its not 2 expensive ill get it.no sense starting small and updating later,it would cost alot of time, and i could have some buds by sometime around march hopefully.also i have a couple window fans.so i would be ok with that.does that hid light require a ballast?

Compact fluros do not produce the heat that HID, MH, produce, not to mention the heat given off by the transformer. You can run a CFL all day and touch it without burning your hand. There are now CFLs available that are in the Kelvin range of 5400 and 6500. At Home Depot you can buy daylight CFLs by N:Vision at 27 watts which are the equivalent of 100 watts. Also, Home Depot stocks outdoor security lights by Lights of America which are 65 watts = to 500 watts daylight, and 100 watts = to 1000 watts daylight. The 65 watt is $39.97. The 100 watt is $59.97. The 27 watts is $6.97.

CFLs by N:Vision at 27 watts which are the equivalent of 100 watts. thanks for lettin me know that dude,i wouldnt mind cfl's 2 much but it would take a few exstension cords.and i really dont want to use them, but i might.65 watt should be good,if not i could always add a couple cfls.im just wondering about the amps each light draws.and how much my eletric bill will be.dont want them to become suspicious.i did a bit of searching and found this 300 watt cool touch halogen light for like 22 dollars does anyone think it would work.i think its what i will buy if someone thinks it will work.its cheap and easy to setup.interested in what u have to say?peace

Best light sources for horticulture are high intensity discharge: mercury vapor, high pressure sodium, metal halide; or use fluorescent. Incandescent and halogen will not work. Plants need a certain spectrum of light at a sufficient intensity [ number of watts per sq. foot, usually 35 or higher - like 50 ]. You cannot get around this, so therefore must use what is recommended, not what you have or is cheap.

thanks for the reply logos.i really didnt want to spend alot of money on this, because its only for winter.in march ill be putting plants out.so ive decided to go with compact flourescents.i really didnt want to,but it would be best,as im not spending 100 dollars for a couple months of use.and 10 months of non use.anyway ive allready planted my beans, and tookin some more clones.so the pictures will be coming soon,if anyone wants to see them.peace for now
