You can store them anywhere as long as they are sealed and dry and there is not heat. The fridge is perfect especially right before popping them. Something about the seeds being in the fridge before you pop them seems to speed germination up. Strange but true.
The fridge is good for long term storage too. I store mine at room temp unless I plan on keeping them for a long time. I just throw my seeds in the fridge overnight before I toss them in room temp water to germinate. I never keep seeds around for more than 6 months or so. lol ;)

I just read fairly recently that it's best to keep yur beans in an air tight glass container rather than plastic. Seems that plastic can be air permeable........and then yes, in the fridge.

That would make very much sense kraken, it's like the seeds were waking up from winter that dropped on the ground outdoors; I know many different kinds of plants that do this...... it's like giving the seed outdoors indoors by tricking it into thinking winter is over and time to sprout as if it was a wild seed outdoors :)

as long as you keep them cool, dry and avoid light you will have them for a long time. I know a few peeps back on OG days kept there seeds in a film container; washed and sat out of course before using it.. but they used those black film containers you get 35 MM camera film in, they would use those to keep them in there; and I heard people doing this and saving seeds for up to 15 years and still they sprout!

I store my seeds in plastic bags in my deep freezer. I just pulled out 10 seeds of an ak47-romberry cross I made 5 years ago and they all germed
