Sounds strange. I have always received my SB and Seed Boo seeds at my safe addy. I have never had to go to the post office to pick them up. I would be hesitant to pick those beans up. Hopefully someone else will stop by and lend some more insight to your situation. Best of luck!!

Restricted Delivery? I think I would let them keep those, I would not go to the Post Office and present ID.
Sounds like they found what was in package and want you to pick it up so that you have to sign for it.

ive had packages sent to my home. i wasn't home so they left a pink card stating i could come pick it up at the post office. but i wasn't worried. it wasn't beans or anything.but if u know its beans leave it

"we have confiscated you order for marijuana seeds, any further orders will cause an investigation to insue.."
it was a VERY chilly letter.. even though it wasnt to the place of grow--i still broke it down and didnt grow for almost 1.5year...
thats why you just get 2or3 good strains and work em .. ill NEVER order seeds through mail---they already so $$$ if im going pay for em id rather smuggle em on person...

Try calling a post office first. Not the one the package is at and ask them what a restricted delivery is. If you don't like the answer they give you, don't pick the package up.

Agreed. It's not suspicious to let it go, either. If questioned, your friend wasn't expecting anything and too busy to bother driving to the post office.
Remember that post offices have cameras trained at the front desk. They have your picture or your friend's if one of you steps in there. And once they present ID they now have an address. This is a fishing expedition, so don't play along.
The worst that might happen is agents do a driveby of your friend's address and use infrared scanning to see if there's an unusual heat signature. They might pull his power bills and check that out. It seems like it would be too much damn trouble to actually watch and wait for the connection to you. Imagine the stakeouts, phone tapping. I mean its possible, but it would be a whole lot of effort just to catch someone that might or might not already have a small grow. I would imagine most people ordering seeds don't have their own grow yet.
I just don't know what level of hysteria is in effect in your area, whether the cops or regional DEA are really apeshit for that kind of thing. Just ask yourself whether it'd be easy or difficult for a stranger to connect your friend to yourself.

I might do what Ajunta Pall suggests if you are really curious. Otherwise, forget about it and deny everything casually or just don't speak to them at all. You'll want to get a new safe address as I've never really heard of this happening so be cautious. If it were caught by customs it would have the infamous green tape so either they caught it locally or they have some other suspicion (this is all just assumption on my part, though.)
"Restricted Delivery" is a method/classification........similar to "Registered", "Certified", etc...(Feel free to look it up, usps.com)
Purpose of course being "for sender only"....no other part authorized to accept (unless specified when package is sent.....)
(Your buddy's probably being served notice of something....you said court address......)
Since SB/SBou most likely doesn't send it in the first place, it's most likely not the package from them anyway. You could always call and ask if they have it and who sender is, since you aren't expecting anything.....(People refusing things is not uncommon.......)
(All my past SB orders were left at addresses......regular mail/letter/package)
People should be aware though the tide has been turning on seeds now for a while......so.......I would make sure if ordering "special" shipping is arranged, and paid for on senders part......(Not same old/same old......doesn't cut it anymore...last 1.5yr or so.....they're focusing more on it...)

I'd have to guess you are getting served something by someone.
How long has it been since you received confirmation your order had been sent?
As was already stated, I would call the PO and tell them I wasn't expecting anything and ask where it is from. I have never heard of this before. Normally it is a customs declaration saying the seeds were taken......
And if they did get seized it has nothing to do with "because you orderde from SB. A random check can come from anyone.....

I have had to pick up seeds from the p.o one time. It wasn't from sb, but it still wigged me out pretty good. I didnt go get it for like 3 weeks, ha. emailed the seed company and they said sometimes they send it that way when its coming from out of the of uk or something...I told them id never like it sent that way again please. ha.
I would be worried too, but like the others said. call and find out where its from. Then go from there.

fuck nvm SB got here today, matched up with the dilivery time with this unknown pick up, i still dont know what it is but its not for me, i was so freaked out sorry SB deliverers good

I've had so many different types of mail with various e-bay items even seeds from places as far away as Peru and India and have only had one confiscation from Argentina, they took a damn T-shirt my wife had bought from E-bay.Customs guy must have liked it.Hell I've known people who had a bunch of class 2 pills seized fron Brazil and all they received was a letter.Unless you are receiving a shitload of illegal things I really wouldn't worry.In california customs did a random search of 1000 or more overseas envelopes and packages.I believe over 50% had illegal or prescription drugs inside.The volume is so heavy they just burn the shit.Occaisionally yes some meathead is arrested for receiving 1000 xanax but its truly rare.Chaco.
