Hey guys,

Just wanted to ask are there any actual seed banks in Aus to purchase from or are they pretty much all international. Also which seed banks have people had experience from and reccomend? Does anyone know what the deal is with customs and seeds ordered from international seed banks etc? Thanks guys! :joint:

I don't believe there are any in Oz. The BIB would come down pretty heavy on anyone trying to advertise the selling of seeds...maybe there are some private sellers out there but I have no idea.

I tried to list a couple of companies I have used but the board here is censoring one of them out. I guess they don't want us to discuss other seedbanks besides Seedboutique and Seedbay. PM me if you want to know of some other alternatives.

I believe you will just get a letter in mail saying they have found contraband etc addressed to you. No further action. Keep getting caught and you might have problems though. I have heard of a NZ user here having the BIB knocking at his door one morning after a few intercepted packages, but I have never heard some here from Oz having any troubles....

I'm only a 400watt personal grower so as far as getting caught, intercepted seeds is lowest on my worries of being busted. Don't order wholesale amounts of seeds and don't tell anyone you grow and you shouldn't have any troubles.

ive never had any problems getting beans here to Oz from either seedboutique or seedbay, but yes seeds are illegal here.

The only thing ive ever had intercepted by customs was a DVD called Bumfights :p
I just got a letter in the mail from customs saying that it had been confiscated as its a prohibited item, and that if I had a permit or whatever for it then to mail it to some address.

I'd imagine the same thing would happen if they intercepted beans too.

Had no problems here ordering from Seed Boutique. Very stealth packaging and quick.
