Seed and Smell question

W

Wookieefoot

Okay, I got two questions guys. First question;

I grew out a feminized Paradise Seeds White Berry girl. She threw some nanners late into flower. I got like 14 or so seeds in a little over 2oz. of bud. I'd say 4 or 5 look very healthy. My question is if I pop these beans would they be feminized as well? Or could some turn out to be males?

My second question is about odor control.

I have a Can 33 hooked up to a 6" Max Fan with a built-in variable speed switch. Which is than ran through a 400HPS sealed hood then exhausted outside. All in a 3'10"x3'10" tent.

About 5-6 weeks into flower I could smell them out back near my exhaust. The fan was being ran on highest speed, so I turned it down to the middle setting. My thinking was that the filter didn't have enough time to scrub the air. It was being exhausted to fast. A week after that the same thing happened. Started getting unwanted fragrances outside again. So I turned it down to lowest setting which is about 110 cfm with the Can 33 hooked up. That seemed to do it but I chopped about a week after that so I'm not sure how long that would have lasted.

Does that even sound efficient? 110cfm in a almost 4x4 tent? The 6" fan and Can 33 should be plenty adequate, right?? I did have some smelly strains, Sour Kush and Berry White...Also it was during hot summer months and I was fighting 65% humidity levels...I guess I'm almost kind of answering my own questions but just looking for some advice from seasoned growers. Thanks in advance fellas! :tiphat:

Genetics...

Since the pollen came from a plant that threw nanners late in flower.... you can look forward to a percentage of the seeds also having that trait passed on.

It's why dalmations tend to look like dalmations and bloodhounds tend to look like bloodhounds.... Yes, there are a lot of differences between individual dogs but they still look like their "breed". Your "Breed" throws nanners in some specimens...... Passed on traits, my friend.

If you're depending on all the meds in your garden.... take the time to acquire decent seeds. Got time to mess around and recover from 'accidents'?? You just might want to join the bagseed clubs. :D

As for smell? I always go overboard with smell. If a certain size scrubber is listed for your space.... I would go at least one size larger... preferably 2 sizes larger. When smell is an issue.... extra insurance is always a good idea.
