You will not believe this

*****************************************************************************************
"In response to a flood of Facebook and YouTube videos that depict police abuse, a new trend in law enforcement is gaining popularity. In at least three states, it is now illegal to record any on-duty police officer.

Even if the encounter involves you and may be necessary to your defense, and even if the recording is on a public street where no expectation of privacy exists."

Link to the rest of the story here Are cameras the new guns?

I suggest writing to your favorite Congressman and telling them how you feel about this total bullshit!

I am so pissed off about this I cant remember being more angry.

3 states so far actively prosecute individuals for taping police.

Its like a bad dream, like a civics class gone really really bad...

So your saying me having security camera's at my home would or might be illegal soon lol. I see alot more problems for cops if this was the case.

I dont understand why cops cant just be law bidding citizens and actually do there job fairly.

This may sound stupid, but, wouldn't their own dash cams violate the law in those three states? Or are the statutes so corrupt that the cops are exempt?

It seems that it is becoming possible to guilty of "contempt of a cop".

Think back about the Law professor was cuffed and charged because he dared express his frustration in his own yard at his own house.

I used to think if cannabis was legal I would be in no danger from the police, as days go by I see it is dangerous to encounter a policeman regardless of the circumstances.

The Detroit child being shot in her house and her family was at first blamed.... the cameras are the only thing keeping the incident from being "blue-washed". The mayor responded by restricting any TV crews from accompanying any officers.

The police state is real, and becoming more so daily.

When "they" want to know everything about you, and you to know nothing about "them", except what "they" tell you - It has become a sad state of affairs indeed.

The rules are not set, they are constantly changing - and never for the better.

Peace
