How did you feel the first time you decided to register and login to IC or any other cultivation site?

My A: Hell yeah... Still a bit freaky after having just read some FAQ's from the recommended security app: called "PGP".

I wonder how many people are using it?'

Using real names, and or main "real e-mail"?

Concerned at all that some LEO's may be hacking the hell out of every site like this... BTW- wasting valuable time, budget, and resources that should be busting coke, heroin and other "REAL drugs"...

I may be naive - although i don't think so.
I have in fact often fantasized about being busted so I get a courtroom = I view it as the most official soap-box. Be great IMO if everyone who grew even just one plant were to get arrested...

I'd bet that the movement would be won. Too many people, and families and truth. Truth is we aren't ruining anyone's life. We don't roll our over-dosed friends onto Emerg Entrances at hospital because they did too much.

How about they didn't drive their car through a red light devastating and killing the lives, and souls of those who lose to alcohol.

We need a stronger Mo0ve. I don't want to revolutionize this: as defined. Revolving door right-NO I want the real deal - Time to solidify it. I don't want this -however If we only had an Al Capone of Pot. The watch how fast the public outcry and the simplicity of profits for sin tax.... The Gov must seriously have no brains to wonder how to pay China back... Um Pot.

How did I feel when I signed up? I felt like a vanilla-chocolate soft serve swirl sunday, all covered in fudge and sprinkles, circling my body like I was a satellite. Because I was high as shit on some blueberry keif.

Seriously though, I don't have major concerns here. I used an alternate email address but it's all traceable to my IP, and really, to my MAC address. Bottom line is that if they want to find you, if they want to get you, they can and they will. But based on the multi-thousand watt grows featured here I'm going to say that no one is really looking or some of these warehouse and outdoor setups would be shut down immediately.

I buy seeds online with my bank card, have them mailed directly to my house. I just don't give a damn, I'm too lazy.

this is a very bad idea.

Don't get yourself busted man... at least not on purpose.
It really isn't going to accomplish anything but putting money
into the pockets of the system, and that money will end up
being used on more propaganda and/or eradication efforts.

Plus... The more people getting busted for growing, the more
the system can brainwash by publicizing those busts to claim
that the War On Drugs is making progress.

Appreciate the different tones in responses - it is a bit silly to be busted for one plant or even 5 to 10 unsexed.

My point was that if all the ppl who smoke pot & want to end Prohibition were a bit less apathetic then we could in fact "Overgrow" the current policies.

Perhaps it's because I'm not US and more liberal than the DEA's Nazi rule over America and Canada ... I.e. Marc Emery.

I am just so friggen tired of not being able to get some good herb sometimes.. Or none at all. Meanwhile the Gov. is more than willing to reap the taxes from Magazines, Vaporizers and all the other headshop material. Not to mention the friggen crazy Broker fees they charge in my country for importing seeds. They don't prevent the sales of any of these items and are very happy to accept revenue. But put that legal seed to work and now your a criminal.. IT's F'n ridiculous.

Hmm, now, here's the thing. I don't agree with the idea of someone getting busted with a plant or two. But....it is illegal, so we're all taking our chances.

Until things are legal, you can't really argue with the law, IMHO

As for my security, yes, I don't use my real name and yes I don't use an email address with my name. I have security software on my computer and that makes me feel better.

That said, I don't really care who knows me on the boards since it's all just talk. I'm not, however, going to post any pictures since I think that's just too risky for me. Others are cool to do it and I appreciate it, but I can't. Not right now, anyway.

The BEST security is not to tell anyone you're growing. ANYONE. That way, the only person who knows is you and that's where the secret can stay. I know I can keep my own secrets.

*Never get anything shipped to my home
*Never pay with anything but cash, when I can
*Always park far away from the hydro store
*Never do anything stupid or greedy - that's where you can really get into trouble.
*Never attend pot expos
*Never have too many plants - read the laws for your area

This is a safe business most of the time because so many people are doing it, but that's no excuse for not being careful too.

For those who have professional live to protect; or simply choose to grow in secrecy. I've no problem with that.

I'm a disability medicinal case - who has my most important person who needs this medicine more than I; my Mom. I will stand before the "Johnny Law" for this purpose. I am not a criminal. She is not either. So - arrest me and Martyr me. I welcome an arrest. Just do it. I know as 99% of you do: it's criminal to stop us from help, medicine & freedom.

As a member of the Hydro Industry, I would strongly advise against point 3 in the above list, specifically "Always park far away from the hydro store."

We get a big kick out of customers who heed this misguided advice, and you'd be amazed how often we see it. Imagine this, 3 guys come into the store to get their new grow set up. For "security's sake", they have parked in the parking lot of the next shopping center down the road, a good quarter mile trek. They purchase their 2 cases of rockwool, their ballast, their super large reflector, some nutes... they are all set. Except now they got to get all this shit down to their car. Now if a cop is monitoring a hydroponic store (it happens, but is quite rare), what do you think is going to look more suspicious? The guy who parks and shops like any other customer of any generic retail establishment? Or the 3 guys balancing their cases of rockwool with their light system with their reflector trying to make it back to their car they so conveniently parked in the next shopping center down the road.

Come on, BM, we're supposed to be raising the standards. Oh, and you should heed your own advice when it comes to point number 5 and add the following caveat, nor should your nutrient company.

I too have often thought about that...getting busted with a plant...one of God's creatures I might add...and getting several years in prison and arguing right up to the Supreme Court it's being a "cruel and unusual" punishment for such an inoffensive "offense".

I mean SERIOUSLY...how CAN the government get away with such severe punishment for doing absolutely nothing wrong. If it's found in nature God damn you for trying to take it away.

I have a RIGHT to anything that can be found naturally in the wild. Who could reasonably argue against that?

Argue to the religious zealots that God wouldn't have put it here if he didn't intend for us to enjoy it. No different than Wine or beer.

I think your totally right on your point with the harmless plant of Mj; however, one might easily take it out of context with point 2... Opium or Coca - NOT cool. Some plants are harmfull and definitely need to be prohibited.

I have to agree with you on the final point. There are more and more people coming around to the common sense side of MJ. What we need is to enlighten those hardcore conservatives about the other side of MJ. The hear or read legalization & scream Satan or whatever *as they chug a few brews* and drive on home.

These ass-wipes only see money. Tell these jerk-offs about the money they will save on taxes with a repeal of prohibition. A natural thing for them is wanting more $'s. Really simple - tax the legal pot. Make revenue - save money on incarcerated growers. Stop feeding organized criminals and arresting those who just want some medicine.

I feel your side though, and I want us all to get what we deserve: Freedom of choice. Talk to those tight-ass right-wingers; show them how they get richer. Then take it to the politicians.
