security concerns over lighting/heat signatures

He wants to try again but is worried about heat signatures
If he keeps an air con. running and a fan blowing and
temps around 70-75F is his house gonna light up like crazy
if the Gimps try to use one of those infrared detectors
to get a warrant? Well maybe not light up like crazy
but one small spot? I don't know how this works.

Can anyone with information about heat sig. and ways to
keep it Just in the grow space please advise me here,
thanks.I have made sure my friend has NO light leeks
He's not even growing now but really wants to start.
I just need to find a little about ways to nullify the
Christmas tree curse.

What rays....or.... what is it that escapes and is detected?or is it just huge grows that are not properly ventilated that get detected. ( I am growing in a home-made grow tent like thing with reflective alum. foil and a blanket on top) There is an a/c unit
that keeps it a cool 70ish and the heat mostly is kept in the tent.A fan constantly is blowing the cool air
in and through the grow area so my friend tells me.

With a 250 watt HPS and 2 huge CFL's and 3 regular white ones-inside an insulated environment, what can happen?
I know that pales in comparison to the grows that I see
in pics, like a room with 50 plants and however many-teen
1000w bulbs, but he still has to be safe. His state is still
mulling over legalizing on the state level but I need good
medicine now.

Scared and just waiting.What is the best material to make sure
your buddy is not beaming rays to the moon?

I would say you have nothing to worry about. Ask this question again when your buddy buys many 1000 watters.

They mostly look for weird places for heat to be escaping from your house. weird ducts that are pumping out hot air. Most grows are given up by informants, smell, over the top power usage....etc. If they have a suspicion that you are growing, then they will break out some sort of FLIR.

They are looking for LARGE grows, not some guy with 3 plants in his closet.

Bingo. OP said he booked, so he won't be reading this (maybe he will?) but I'll add it in anyway.

Was just reading a case the other day (In canuckistan, not the states, but whatever) about a grow busted by FLIR. Informant #1 stated that his dealer bought from a guy in a a particular neighborhood. Informant #2 stated that "Bob" had a large grow -- "Bob" lives in the neighborhood mentioned by CI #1. A LE trip to the local power company revealed unusually high power usage at "Bob's" residence -- FLIR surveillance noticed abnormal heat signature's and the next you know LE was kicking in the door.

If you're worrying about heat signatures, than you already fucked up somewhere and are attracting attention (unless you're running a huge warehouse)

When i started with my rubbermaid tote grow i was so paranoid. I have no idea why looking back. I came to the realization that i live in a city that has 26 million people in a 30 mile radius. Why the effe would LEO care about my 400 watt closet grow. The sherrif helicopters fly over my house 10 times a day. Have been for years.

ive had my whole entire house filled before and you could smell the shit from 30 feet away from the house and i still haven't gotten caught. My roommate been doing this shit longer for 6 years with no trouble. Its just up to you to decide how chill your neighbors are. I live down a long driveway with only 2 real neighbors. One house is full of hmongs and chickens and the other house is some broke couple barely making it. So neither of them give a fuck
