security check from gas company?

ok so i got an automated call today saying that someone was comming in my home to check for leaks or whatever but they scheduled it for 2 days from now

i never got a call or letter that call was confirming the apt

i called back and they told me it was strange that the apt was set up without me asking but they do regual checks and i was just randomly picked they let me rescedual it for anytime i wanted

good thing i was going to look at a new house on monday to start doing my business there

my house never ever has anyone over ocationally a friend or my sister but thats it

but there has been alot of utility work on my street this mth they put up all new power lines

i dunno just writing here to see what you guys think i know im ust paranoid

im nit really thinking anything of it but now i have to have about 50 plants in 7 gal pots that jsut went into flowering yesterday moved and this is going to be a pain in the ass for sure

50 plants in 7 gal buckets? That's gonna be a fucking forest. If you really can reschedule for anytime, set the appointment for when AFTER you buy your new home. I personally wouldn't open the door and let the gas man be on his way. No warrant, no entry, unless I schedule the appt myself.

oh ya i rescheduled it 3 weeks + from now they said i could do it whenever just that i had to do it

the icc is cracking down on the safety of our gas company i guess


but ya itll be clean b4 they come in im waaaaay too paranoid to have anything pot related in this house

but i did put most of them in 7 gals yesterday so i can take about 13 of them out and put them in 2 gals

and then iill have like 18 in 7 gals to move and then the rest ill just cut early fuck it so ya it wont be more then 3 pickup truck trips with plants in it

this just really shook me today and got the adrenalin pumping


glad its forcing my plants outa my house ive been wanting to do it for so long

just a pain setting up 6kw at a unknown place but oh well change the locks and ill be good

do you have NG or Propane? If its propane they have to check for leaks by law, we had our place inspected before we set up. Usually the only reason they would have to re-inspect though was if your propane tank went 100% empty

You could always rent a Uhaul, put all the plants in while he does his inspection, then put them back. Not sure if he needs to go directly into the grow area or not.

Do you own the house? If not, that could be a hUGE issue as they may contact the landlord, and you'll come home to see the LL and inspector walking out of your house with a very puzzled look....

I would just keep postponing it, you are out of town, sick family member etc.

I would imagine at some point, they will just give up, send you a letter, and shut off your service until you get an inspection.

Had one of these, the guy went straight to the gas meter in the basement, looked at it for a couple minutes, and left.
Not a big deal really unless your meter is in your room.
I'd play it safe and keep putting it off all the same.

In fact, If I had wanted him to look at my gas stove for leaks it would have been an extra charge, he said he was there to look at their equipment only, and that was it.
It was like they didn't care if it leaked past the meter since I would still get charged for it, only if it was leaking at the meter site.

ya it sucks went to go look at a house today hopefully he takes my offer

perfect place for a 8kw grow at this new house

but ya the gas meter is outside but they said its the pipes that come into the home

oh well but it did have my heart racin for a while
