Tidings, fellow greenthumbs. This is my first post save for my intro that pertains to what I'm doing at all, so I hope I can keep it relatively simple (my mind runs 120 mph constantly, so I'll try not to beat around the bush).
Right now, I'm currently in the middle of flowering week 3 with the following:
*soil blend - Fox Farms Happy Frog (FFHF) (inoculated w/myco)
- General Organics Ancient Forest (humus)
- EWC
- Top soil layer of hydroton (to cut out the gnats)
** MGK: This was a mystery kush seed my mentor and partner had in his possession from SoCal. He named it after a snake and area where he is from. It's a heavy yielder with a raw lemony/pine taste that we've yet to refine, but we know it's there.
1) Grape Ape (cl.) - 3.5 gal bucket/soil.
2) Super Silver Haze (s.) - 3.5 gal bucket/soil.
3) **Mojave Green Kush (cl.) - 3.5 gal bucket/soil.
4) AK-47 (cl.) - 3.5 gal bucket/6" rockwool block.
5) Lemon Diesel (s.) - 3.5 bucket/6" rockwool stacked on top of another 8" rockwool block.
I'm nervous to post pictures... But I'm sure with some encouragement, I'll sneak you guys a peak or two to at least give some representation of what little I've grown so far thanks to what knowledge and wisdom I've gained from the people here on IC and in real life, and my own studying.
Current nutrients that I use are:
1. GH Maxibloom and Maxigrow (I started KISS).
2. GO Floralicious Plus
3. Dutch Master Gold Range Silica (pH up effect)
4. Homemade ACT (I use the soil blend above in a water pump filter bag as a tea bag and drop in some AN Voodoo Juice/OG Biowar Foliar and FloraBlend (Hydroguard if needed) and some Wholesome Organic Molasses as a food source.)
5. GH FloraNectar in small increasing amounts approaching week 6.
When I started, what I read claimed to use 7g of Maxibloom as an all in one fert and I've gotta say that it swung my ppms through the rough only using 3.5g of that stuff. It's also pretty acidic, so it'll drop your pH clear down to 4. But it worked for a little while, when I used 1g to a gallon of water. But it's missing Manganese, which I found in Maxigro, so I used a light 1.5g blend of the two and increased as the plants got bigger.
But this is my second run! So far, the largest plant is the Lemon Diesel. I mean... She's a five month old monster from seed in two stacked rockwool blocks lol.. So I guess I've been doing okay, but I only had a T5 to veg under so she didn't get as large as she could've but for indoor, I'm okay with it as she's still manageable and has yet to stretch much in week 3.
The only specific concern I have right now is this: I just got a sample pack of Heavy 16 nutrients from my new favorite store. I'm wanting to incorporate them and am curious about foliar feeding, as it is new to me. So give me your thoughts! I have: Fire, Roots, Prime, Foliar, and Finish.
