  • I'm doing 3 Blue Dreams under a 250 watt (I'm adding 6 CFLs in a few days).
  • I'm using Fox Farm Ocean forest (80%) with Black Gold perlite (20%).
  • I'm growing them in 5 gallon pots (I'm not sure if it's bad to grow in larger pots in the beginning, but I ended up using them anyway because I forgot to ask about that).
  • The tent is almost light proof (just need to cover up some area but that's easy).
  • I'm using a 4" Vendalator (172 CFM) and a small fan for the air and temps.
  • I'm using the General Hydro Flora series nutes (Mild Blend).
  • The tent is 64" tall, 40" wide, and 20" deep. I used Panda Wrap for the the walls/ceiling/floor and Mylar to line the inside of it with.

I'm still having a little bit of a temp problem. The weather is getting a bit warm, and I can't really afford an AC, so I don't know what to do.
Advice/suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks!

Oh, I didn't know about adding an intake (which I guess should have been common sense).

I have a spare bathroom exhaust fan, can I use that for that tents intake?

My actual exhaust port is 4".

the intake can be passive, the negative pressure created by the exhaust will make fresh air get inside the tent. so, the question is, if your intake hole/holes is/are big enaugh.

UPDATE #2 (WEEK 2)

So I've changed my lighting schedule to be on during the cooler parts of the days, which has helped tremendously (temperatures haven't hit higher than 85 so far). The days are getting cooler which is very good news for me.

I just recently switched them to the normal grow blend from mild and will be switching to strong in a few weeks or so unless you guys think they're still much to small to handle that much.

The final thing I'm doing is low-stress training, but if anyone has any better suggestions please let me know.

Here are some pics from today.

Do yourself a favor and store your pics at IC. Flicker, imageShack et al will turn you in in a heartbeat. It's a safety thing.

Thanks for the tip all. I have a spare bathroom fan that I can use to set-up a proper intake for them.

Also, can a mod move this to grow diary's please? I think I should be good to go now.

Thanks!

:tiphat:
i flower in my bedroom closet i use a passive not forced intake for this space.

front has a 90 degree drop 6 inch inlet back side is 6 inch x 12 inch

notice the can33 carbon scrubber in left upper rear 6 inch insulated ducting 6 inch ecopluss inline fan exhausted directly into attick.

when the plywood is secure where door closes the intake sucks booko air this runs 24/7 365 days yr

at my local hardware store they'll make to free cuts on peice of plywood so i had my dems and they cut it perfect
the plywoods messurements are excat inside door frame dems and 1/4 inch taller. plywood cost me 13$ duct 12$ handels to pull it all open 5$ i use some aluminum tape to secure duct to outside of plywood, i also painted the inside and out of the duct black to light dosent reflect easy

same rule can be applied to 4 inch fan and ducting
