Hey guys,

This is the second time I'm facing this problem.

Setup:

Coco (Buffered) + Perlite

Plant Prod 7-11-27 + Calcium Nitrate

EC: 0.9

PH: 5.8-6.1

Around 25 days

18/6

65W lm301h

It starts like a tip burn, the plant gets stunned, then the whole leaf goes full necrosis.

I'm not sure that I've attached the pictures correctly. Trying again below.

During my research, I've also find the picture below with the exact same problem I'm facing.

I found its better for me to start plants in small dixie cups to better manage the amount of watering. The problem with excess water in the container is, it releases too much of the nutrients and burns the leaves and causes problem in the root zone. .

I'm no expert, but that looks like magnesium def to me. Trick is figuring out what's causing it. Could be too much light or overwatering or something else.

Do you cut drainage holes in your solo cups? Do you use the weight of the cups to determine how damp they are? If it is heavy don’t water them you can keep a cup of dry coco for comparison I run coco perlight mix of 2 parts coco one part perlight... another thing if your a new grower stop using EC.. ppm on the .5 scale is easy to wrap your head around and will give you a more realistic number to work with... looks like your drowning the plants in solution that’s way too hot for small plants.. they get locked out and never bounce back...

Plant-Prod 7-11-27 fertilizeris an extremely high water soluble and should not be used this early on, for example my small plants flourish under a 6-6-4 for the first 3 weeks. 7-11-27 is super high in K which is more for producing flowers.
Nitrate Nitrogen6.4%
Soluble Potash (K[SUB]2[/SUB]O)27%
Soluble Potassium22.4%
Way to much for my liking reverse the Elements 22% N and 6% K would be much better for veg.

tiny plants do not need that much mag or potassium early on. Cut the nutes just water it for a few days incase its toxicified. Also when you do use nutes use N and P early on... then K and cal/mag later.. its a baby.. spoon feed it as such.. a highly soluble nutrients heavy in K and Mag is not to be messed this early on and is not needed.
