Hi,
I wanted to know if anyone had ever tried to mix a soil with seasoned horse manure.
If yes, in what dose? Or should it be applied only on the surface and as you irrigate its principles come down? And at what time could it be better to use it?
Seasoned horse is allot like Seasoned cow. Little stronger. Use as much as you want. You won't burn anything. You could just grow staight in it if you wanted.
I would keep it under 1/3 of my mix though.
thanks for the information !! I thought I would put less than 1/3 but in your opinion should I add fertilizers anyway? what would be missing from the ground and at what time? I thought of adding only boom and stimulator in bloom
If it's well composted, it rocks. If it's mixed with shavings the wood leaches the N from the soil so you might have to add some. If it's mixed with straw, it's a gold mine. Personally, I'd add N regardless because even rain can wash it away.
I used 50% Seasoned horse manure and 50% Sand in 20 litre (5 Gal) drums withe top cut off and drainholes in the bottom and top fed it with a general liquid fertiliser one day, then water the next, and grew six footers with lots of heads. Then I bought a car.
