I was searching for my HOT water DWC - 80ºF+ thread today (I searched hot, hot water, water, DWC and hot water dwc) but, Search says it doesn't exist. I've found and bookmarked it so I wont have the problem again but, could some of you try putting the title "HOT water DWC - 80ºF+" in Advanced Search by Titles Only and see what comes up? I want to see if the problem's on my end.

Thanks all.:tiphat:

Could it be that the search adds comma between words with out being added by the user.

I have tried searching using " " to couple words but when the search is completed it doesn't index...

The search can be a bit twitchy, I have had it not return stickied threads doing a title search.

HOT water DWC - 80ºF+ :site icmag.com

Put that in google and BAM!

From what i understand the search on icmag is not indexed and to do so would create a huge load on the server.

Google? D'oh! Do I feel dumb...

I found the pics in my gallery and their date allowed me to search through Diaries by hand.

Google, of course.

Thanks guys. At least I know it's not on my end.

Yeah, I never use the site's search anymore unless I'm looking for posts started by a specific user. Otherwise it's googling with site:icmag.com at the end.

a useful function is to have it automatically bookmark every thread you post in. that way you can normally go back to find any thread you posted in. also the function in the statistics called find all post or find all threads by this user are very useful for finding old threads of yours.

User Menu > My Active Threads will list every thread you have posted in

also if you're the one who created the thread, you can just look through all the threads you've made in the Statistics section of your profile :joint:

but yeah, i just type in the words i'm looking for, then throw in "icmag" at the end on google and its never been a problem :joint:
