SEALED SECRET JARDIN TENT OR SEALED ROOM?

Im looking at both options. Id like to run a sealed room. Im hearing thats possible with a large jardin? But for the cost of a large jardin I could build a bad ass custom sealed room. But I couldnt break down the custom room IN 2 hrs like the Jardin. Anyone who has experience with running a sealed Jardin please chime in. If its a pain in the ass or not possible to seal a jardin lmk cause this will quickly sway my decision to build a room. Any and all opinions welcome.

IMHO....

I have the Secret Jardin 240w and 150 (4x8 and 5x5) I absolutely love them and wouldn't go any other way with things. That being said co2 is a pain in the ass to run in the tents for several reasons.

First I run 2 1ks in the 4x8 with 8in air cooled hoods. Even with that if I were to turn my ambient exhaust off it would very quickly get very hot in there, too hot for even co2. with a six in intake and six inch exhaust I can keep the tent 7-10 degrees warmer than ambient air outside the tent. When i turn off the exhaust for the tent I hit 90+ pretty damn quick

Second for co2 the humidity is the big problem. I know two other people that have bought the sniffer and the atmosphere controllers and set everything up right but they say that the exhaust is running almost constantly to lower the humidity and the co2 is never really on anyways.

In order to run co2 in these tents you would need a smaller wattage bulb than a 1k (most likely at least) and you would definitely need a dehumidifier inside the tent. For me it doesn't add up. The difference co2 would make is not worth removing one of my plants to put a dehumidifer.

I'm getting 1.5 to 1.7 lbs per light without co2 in the darkrooms. Thats plenty for me.

I would love one of those 10x10 tents though they are huge!

I had a sunhut and it offgassed. It was one with the white lining...I have a silver one now and it did just fine.

I like my sealed rooms though...depends on how much you are growing i guess.

you can build rooms for $100 that can be taken down with a screw gun. plywood and plastic is all you need.

can anyone give an honest side by side comparison of why to use a tent unless you have zero handyman skills, need a quick 20 minute breakdown, have lots of money to give for an overpriced tent. ???

I paid $500 total for my 4x8 and 5x5. I like them because

They are super convenient to set up and store (they fit inside a carrying case thats about 3 feet long and 10in thick,)

They are 99.9 percent lightproof (gotta watch for pinholes)

They have holes for cords and ducting exactly where you need it to be

They are thermally insulated to avoid IR detection.

The overall quality is VERY professional. (Once you see one erected you'll be amazed).

They have big windows or doors on every wall (Don't have to move plants to work).

All of that is really convenient and for the price on the smaller tents is definitely worth it IMO.

That said I think they charge about $1000 for the 10x10. For $1000 in room construction you could pimp out a bedroom pretty well.

I agree they are very nice to have when security is an issue(wife loves them because of that)...but when you are growing legal id save my money....

You know you don't need Co2 for big yields... Plenty of fresh air is fine. You should concentrate more on the environment and growing technique.

I use the secret jardin tents and they're seriously the business. You really will not regret purchasing one.

Seems everyone likes there tents. Reason Im asking about co2 is Im contemplating using the large jardin as a sealed room. Anyone out there using a large jardin as a sealed room?

:yeahthats

I think they would do fairly well at containing c02 just put duct tape around the seals of your hood as they can leak and suck air out of the room.
