Sealed Room with no CO2? Opinions please =]

I plan on building a 5.5 x 9 foot room inside of another room.

The plan of action is to frame out the room in front of an existing window that has a nice 14k btu ac unit already in the window. This way the room is completely sealed and cold. Anyone understand what I am talking about or should I get some pictures?

As I do not have the funds yet to purchase a co2 monitor/controller, I was wondering if there is a possibility that the co2 would be depleted and thus become detrimental for my plants in this type of sealed environment without fresh air or co2?

Any comments or suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Thanks!

Yes it will, you either need co2 enrichment or some way to bring fresh air in at least a few times a dayEDIT If your window AC has a fresh air vent that opens your in luck,if it just recirculates the room air you need outside air or co2

I will take this unit back and get a refund, and hopefully find an a/c with the fresh air vent you mention. Won't bugs get into the grow space if the a/c draws in fresh air from outside?

Would ya happen to have any specific models in mind or links to some product literature?

Yeah, you definitely need a source of CO2...whether it be fresh air or bottled/burner. If you can swing the funds for a burner or bottle, it's not too difficult to approximate the CO2 levels in the room - it won't be exact, but it'll getcha through until you can afford a ppm meter/controller for the CO2.

Since it's a sealed setup, you might even want to try using a sugar/yeast generator or some of the home brewed methods for CO2...it'll definitely be better than nothing.

I appreciate the replies! If I cannot find the right a/c, I might just order some boost buckets instead... the idea of having a propane burner next to where I sleep scares the shit out of me... and as for the bottled co2, i'll look into the prices of a 40 gal tank, a 20 gal runs outta juice in a week or two, correct?
