Sealed room with CO2 thoughts and ideas!

I'm getting ready to complete my room which has been running with 2 600 watt lights. I added a PPM3 with a 20 gal co2 tank, but it was a waste because the room wasn't sealed. I went through the tank in 5 days.

I'm now sealing the room now. I just got my 12,000 btu mini split and 2 more 600 watt lights, which I will be installing over the next 5 days. The last addition will be a Gen-1e propane burner. I wanted to go with 1000 watt lights but the heat in the desert really scared me 100+ every day for 4 months.

Here's a drawing of the room and any ideas before I get started would be greatly appreciated.

Here's some pics 5 weeks into flower for my 1st run. Skunk #1

This is my 1st grow and I have definetly had my issues (learning curve) the only major problem I had was an air lock on the drain pump. This had to happen when I was out of town and my wife was watching the PH. The plants were flooded for 3 days straight. I lost 1 but I'm sure it affected the others.

How do they look?

Compared to the last pics you posted they are looking a world of diffrence!!! Not to shabby man!! I am really jealous of your room, nice size! those girlies are looking great keep it up!!

Your ok to vent the lights still with in and out fans, this will help keep temps down, im not to sure if this is what you r picture showed. ..

Your the guy that scared me!!! lol i have to rely on the misus for a week as well!!!I gotta go outta town!

I'm only using 1 fan and pulling through the lights. If it doesn't do the job I can always add another fan.

I made a check list for my wife and didn't think about having her check the drain bucket. Next time that will be on the check list.

Hopefully everything goes well while your away. I believe my yield will be affected at least 25% due to being flooded for 3 straight days.I have lost a lot of fan leaves after recovery.

Fan Noise

Fan Noise

I rebuilt my fan box yesterday which holds my can 100 and max 10 fan. I was having a problem caused by my design. The box I built was connected to an exterior wall and causing a vibration and noise outside. I cut about 3 inches off the side of the box and reassembled. The noise level dropped 80% from the outside the house.

I wish I had room to suspend my filter and fan but the room won't allow.

Lot's of work happening this week I'll update through the week. :rasta:

Hey kilbud, nice setup you have there. Plants are looking good also.

If I could make 1 suggestion.

The air intake for your lights looks like its coming from outside the room, which is good. However, the exhaust looks to be inside the room?

The air cooling those sealed hoods should never mix with the air in your grow space.

Also you want to get a dehumidifier in there. Most have the option to attach a drain hose so you don't have to access the unit to drain the water from it. Without the dehumidifier your lights off RH will get too high which increases the chances of rot or mold.

Nice setup man, for a first run looks as though you did your homework here. I think your about 90% dialed in there. Getting the grow dialed that last 1-2% will take the rest of your life imo. Peace CF

Hey CF

Thanks for the positive feedback. It's really been a rough run 1st time around. I guess most newbies go through this. I've been so busy working on the buildout I didn't even notice your post.

The exhaust from the lights vents into the attic crawl space. I just got a 8" vortex which is arriving tomorrow and a 8" backdraft dampner to keep the hot summer air from creeping back in the room.

I live in the desert and it's very dry here. Humidity hasn't risen above 30% except when it rains out which is a rarity and it's usually so low I don't even get a numeric reading. The mini split I'm installing also has a dehumidifier function so I think I will be ok.

I was going to upload some pics but the system is currently down. I've done a lot of work over the last few days.

Peace KB
