Sealed room with a Window AC unit??

Is this possible to create a sealed grow room using a 14,000btu Window AC unit?

I guess the question is are the window ac units expelling air from the room or is it just cooling outside air?

I currently run portable AC units expelling inside air to the outside but im wanting to not do that anymore as it's a waste of Co2.

Window AC's work fine in sealed rooms, just make sure you have the outside air vent in the 'closed' position.

One of my 10x10 tenthas a 14k btu cooling 4kwhps perfectly fine but you have to make sure the vent is closed like the above post states. I modified the tent to seal it

Irun a sealed room with window AC and you really need co02 to make this work well.I have 3 1K vertizontals with a 14000 BTU widow shaker.

It's a single hose

Yes, I meant if you want to keep the portable type setup and not run a window AC just upgrade to a portable dual hose. Window AC's will not exchange outside air...but they do glow quite a bit at night on the outside if it's not shielded from your lights, unless you open the AC up and paint the insulation black and or tape over it with the aluminum tape

Wish i could convert my single hose into a dual hose.

definitly can get that shaker to work , as far as the dual hose units , none that i have seen in the stores are any good even the best ones will create a negative pressure and suck out yer co2.
i has less leakage with windows shakers that were sealed up.

not to state the obvious but mini splits are the only way to fly

I run my veg room with a window AC and the door cracked to let in fresh air,I would never flower that way though. You need a co2 generator or tank for a sealed flower room with a window AC.I mentioned this before but it was ignored, unless its just common sense and not worth mentioning

Dual hose portable acs suck smell and c02, as stated.

Learned that one the hard way.

YES

this is a 17.5kbtu, custom exhaust plenum. $40 at sheet metal fab shop.
not a sealed room but it doesn't matter.. checkout the AC box thread for more info on how window units work to confirm for yourself.

I've seen portable dual hose units. What's the significance of the dual hose model to growers?

Why Co2; and in what environments/setups is Co2 not necessary? I know some people use Co2 to imitate high altitude(I think) but curious about which situations it's essential.

Wow bro I hope you hear me good.First I'm assuming its truly a sealed room with no air exchange.First I tried a single than dual hose portable with not so good results. This is what I use now and always pull 6 lbs plus on a potent average yielding strain.I have an 8 by 8 room and use 3 1K vertizontal parabolics,a 12,500 BTU window shaker,a CD-6 green air co2 generator, oscillating fans, kepp co2 around 1200-1500PPM at 85F at the canopy.O and use R/o water even in soil. This is simple and really effective.Using co2 has nothing to do with altitude as far as I know but can and will increase yields by 25% if done correctly. Also, use must use a controler when growing with co2,cyclestats(timers that measure length and frequency of burn are worthless as can be.You set them by room cubic footage never taking into account the amount of plants in the room, their size and stage, etc. You need a controller so your PPM's never fluctuate more than a couple hundred PPM for 12 hours straight.Co2 is fantastic when you master it.O I didnt answer your question.Co2 isnt necessary when you have adequete air exchange.I'm assuming you dont or I wrote a whole bunch of stuff for nuttin honey lol
