Sealed room questions (Co2)

Hello I just have been growing MJ for a couple years now and now I want to start with Co2. In the past I always have used fans and filters so I never had an odor problem. I'm using 4 * 600W bulbs on an DIY aero pvc system with 12 plants per square meter.

I have been reading articles about using Co2 in a growroom. I have a couple questions about this subject. Some people say use a sealed room others say a semi sealed room. I don't know for which one I have to go.

I was planning to use a sealed room, I have written these steps so far:

1. Strip the room down, use a disinfectant with water to kill all the germs.
2. Use silicon rubber glue to close all gaps in the room (like in the corners).
3. Construct a wooden frame in the room.
4. For insulation I'm going to use rockwool pads, these will be placed between the wooden planks, floor and ceiling.
5. As for the walls I'm going to use polyurethane (PUR) panels, these are great for noise and thermal isolation, these will be mounted on the floor, wall and ceiling.
6. Use the glue again to close all the gaps between the panels.
7. Now I will add BLACK/WHITE Reflective Foil (floor, walls and ceiling).
8. Now I will calculate how much pond foil I need in order to control any leakage, cut it and place it on the ground and use a tacker to attach it against the walls.
9. As for the door I will use some weatherstrips so no air gets in or out.

Practically (at least from what I think) this should be a sealed room. But what about odor control when you get in and out your growroom? And is my plan 100% air sealed?

If I would convert this room into a semi closed room, I need to use a intake and exhaust + filter. But isn't it pretty useless because you suck all the Co2 when you use negative pressure in your room?

Also the other thing is I want to buy a Co2 generator but I don't know how much kw the generator needs to handle. Someone has told me a rule of thumb is: 730w per 600watt bulb. So I use 4 bulbs which will be 730w * 4 = 2920w. So I guess I need a 3kw generator. Is this formula correct?

Sorry for my bad English I'm from Holland.

Yes, co2 in a semi sealed room is an utter waste of co2. As for a generator; with only 4 x 600 watts it doesn't sound like your room is very big, why not use co2 bottles? I get 6+ weeks from a 20lb bottle in a 10 x 10 room with 4 x 1000.
As for odor, of course a small amount of smell will come out every time you open/close your door, light some incense or something :dunno:

When I had the problem with smell when I open the door, I used to have a can of Ozium outside the door and a can inside. I would crack the door open, spray, then go in. When leaving the room, I would spray near the door and leave. Good luck. -granger
