Sealed room....or no sealed room?

Hey guys...

Im preparing for my next grow room..as I have run out of room in my apartment...and its time to get a bit bigger. Currenty I am running 2600 watts...2x1000 and 1x 600 in three seperate grow tents in the same room. I have one window banger unit for the whole room...and so far it has been ok...but obviously not ideal.

OK...her are my questions...

My number one concern is tear down time...the less holes cut/venting the better...it just seems easier. I want to go sealed....however I have never run a sealed room before. AC is a big concern for me....as I will be moving in to a rental house. How much AC am I going to need to run 6k.?...I plan on having a separate room for veg.

Im figuring it will cost a bit more to set up...but it will be less to install and less to tear down in case I need to pack up for an inspection or an emergency of some sort.

I was told that I do not need to vent during lights off...is this true?

I have been reading about using window ac's inside of the room....not mounted in the window. Anybody done this successfuly with over 6k?

Also.. any tips on making a master bedroom a "sealed room"... Do I have to alter the room...or run any kind of sealant around the edges or windows and seams? Do you need to alter the door in anyway to prevent c02 from leaking out?

Any information will be much appreciated. I am sure I am leaving some stuff out...so please feel free to chime in on anything here.

Thanks

becarefull with wattage. there are residential norms for electric use. usually your can allot yourself 1500 watts per bedroom, 1500watts for the living room, 1800 for the kitchen. I ran 4800 watts for one place and was well under the 5600-6000 watts norm (for my area at the time)

if you have a basement, do it there.

here's the deal breaker imo, a 6000w sealed gro that needs to be broken down because of a possible inspection means your in the wrong spot.... again imo no way would I consider doing something that size with inspections in the lease

no venting needed,
but you will need a dehumidifier

I have been reading about using window ac's inside of the room....not mounted in the window. Anybody done this successfuly with over 6k?
Ive read a bit on it, but if your going 6000w you need multi window units,
this seems like probs to me.
I would opt for a mini split, freidrich breeze units have quick connects and a window mount sill for running the lineset outside, no holes to drill. there's another one out there with quick connect,
it's a 36K btu so it's good for 6000w and you'll have some headroom

yup, air tite means air tite.
weather stripping on the door,
depending on what the room is like It may be best to plastic off the entire room,
on the walls use something like orca with good reflection
Any information will be much appreciated. I am sure I am leaving some stuff out...so please feel free to chime in on anything here.

the only real issue with your idea is security...
if the possible inspection is a possibility,
this is not what you want if your running a 6000w gro.
persaonaly I'd find another place

Hey where did you get that information from? The quotes for each room sound reasonable.

meter guy came to my place of employment back a few yrs and i asked him some questions about the electric companies policy on grow ops, late bills, red flags, normal wattage usage, etc.

best money i didnt have to spend
