Hey guys, long time lurker. Been around since 2009 and this is my very first post.
1st I want to say " Hey whats happening and hope everyone is having a great day!" I have learned so much from this site and I appreciate about 70% of the input
Anywho, I came back here after being away from the grow scene for a few years. I now own a CBD and Hemp store(waiting for legalization here ) and we are turning an old garage into a sealed room for indoor CBG production. I am working with someone with a little more experience than I but was hoping to bounce ideas off of you guys.
So we are approved to grow through our Dept of Ag and the city finally gave us the approval to start the process. Where does that start? Smh... Since its commercial building we have to have an architect send plans to the city for approval. Which they said they should have no issues with. Luckily they are known for being pretty lax here. Then everything done has to be done by a licensed tradesman. Ugg We have the project drafted up and turned into the city for approval now. But between architect and buildout we will be at 8k.
The room is a 11.5 x 20 garage in the back of a commercial metal building. It has a drop ceiling and open studded wall on one side and drywall on the other. The city asked that we use a highly mold resistant drywall for the room. We will have to frame around the garage door and build a wall there. Truss (or whatever they do) and build a drywall ceiling, and drywall all sides.
This building is in an older industrial area and has poor power so the electrician has to run power from the pole and will be providing the room with 4- 20 amp services.
I'm not sure the budget will allow for led so we are thinking of running 8 630 CMH. We will be flowering 12 plants in coco with a res and drip system. The trays will all be connected with pvc for excess water to be removed by going through the ceiling and into a floor drain in the next room over. I would go lower but there is a walkway between the 2 rooms in which the city said I have to go over. (Ideas?) We are also purchasing 2 96 x 48 tents with T5's for mother tent and veg tent, 6 ft carbon filter with 12 fan, 12 oscillating fans dehumidifier, Ph pen and R/O water system. Any thoughts on r/o system? We will need to make some water as I also have a 300 gallon fish tank in the front that takes 100 gallons a week.
It's pretty wild how fast things add up and this 20k budget really gets eaten up quickly. I'll keep ya'll posted through the build!
