Thinking of doing a multi strain s.o.g. I know it's usually done with just one strain but I'm in the process of seeing which strains will perform well with thus method. I got 21 clones that are rooted. My flower chamber won't be freed up for another couple of weeks so they are vegging slowly. Should I flower all 21 in 2 liter soda bottles, 21 in 6x6x7 square pots, or 16 in 5 quart pots? I know most of thus is trial and error but just trying to get some input from those with experience in this area. Planning on doing soil in a 3x3 cab under a 400w light. Any advice or input much appreciated!!!!!

I think youve got way too many plants for 1 400.
Runnless get the same amount or more rspecially in a sog setup. I dont know where your st but you coild be putting yourself at extra risk literally for nothing.
Id use the 6x6x7 pots as a GENERAL rule you wanna have as bog of pots as possible, there are exceptions to this rule of course but you didnt mention your feeding method.
Id also experiment with one strain at a time... even for those of us who have been at this for a long time multiple strains kn one table is problematic an difficult. You really need to know your strains well before throwin em together like that I think your setting yourself up for trouble there bud.
Same thing with the amount of plants thats just way too qmany for a 3x3 area. Id say 8 or 9 would be pushing it. If it was me id run 4.

I'm with him. I'd say stay with one strain until you see how that works. the different growth structures with that many plants literally jammed together... it'll probably be very problematic. Not saying it can't be done, sure can.... but like he said, you're just setting yourself up for trouble.

Sounds like a good chance to give a vert mini-stadium a try if you are hellbent on fitting all of that into a 3x3 space with a single 400w. The tall 1/2gal pots with coco and very little to no training...at least that way you can see how everything grows and then pick something to monocrop with more effectively later on. Just a thought.

stunned growers still resort to this?

I've read older threads where people got descent results sticking 20 something clones under a 250w. So I didn't think my experiment was that absurd!
