heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for
a more precise report. Leave these fields blank if you do not have a powerful magnifier.

Clear []

Grey []
White []
Red []
Rust [x]
Orange []

comment: it has that typical diesel rhubarb smell, but it's a kind of fermented smell. very tingly in the nose.

7. _9_ Aroma

Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled
bud for best results.

8. _0_ Seed content

Rate seed content from 0-10 none-fully seeded.

9. _-_just picked 12 Weeks cured

If known enter the number of weeks your sample has been cured.
If desired repeat SSR after an additional two weeks of curing.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATION COMMENTS:

as you can see the calyxes are all nicely swollen and are nicely covered in trichomes, the cure has turned the green in to a silvery color, the hair make a nice contrast.

when you dry toke on a splif of this SDv3, you can't get enough of the taste. it's a very difficult flavor to pin point. but it's real nice and fresh in your nose and mouth.

Citrus [ ] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [ ] Spice [ ]
Coconut [ ] Leather [] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry[ ]
Coffee [ ] Lemon [ ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]
Rhubarb [5] Fermented Grapes [5] Typical SD smell [7]

If appropriate return to this question after 5-10 minutes and mark
with X any unmarked descriptors for lingering aftertaste.

comment: all the tastes stay with you and leave you smacking your lips for the next toke. this is a very special tasting SDv3 pheno. the taste actually lingers in your mouth for a while. a real pleasure to smoke.

3._10_ Taste

Rate your impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant-delicious.
Comment:

4. _5_ State of dryness

Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.

5. _10_smoke ability

Rate the smoke ability of the sample from 1-10 harsh-smooth.
Comment:

6. __ Smoke expansion

Rate how the smoke expands in the lungs from 1-10 stable-explodes.

7. _8_ Intensity

Rate how high the smoke got you. 1-10 nothing to maximum effects.

Comment: it's a strong fast hitting high, you get instant thc satisfaction from this strain.

8. _2_ Type of High. Use combination of #'s if needed.

1.Head
2.Mix
3.Body

comments: a bit of a narcotic type high in that it makes you lazy if you don't fight it off and give yourself a kick up the ass, lol. it tends to invite you to smoke another as it's such an enjoyable taste and pleasant smoke. i for one feel it's a keeper and i know i'm not alone in that opinion. all the 3 SDv3 phenos i got were good, but this one is my favorite.

9.__"social liability factor" use no 1-10

comment: this is a difficult one for me, lol. i don't really have a problem with socializing when i'm high. so how to judge this one. is it party smoke? sure why not, it might be a bit strong for some but that can be funny right?:D

10.which direction did the high take you? ie is it (a) up time party sativa? or is it; (b) sleep time indica? or (c) it can go both ways?

it's a hybrid and that comes through, which makes it impossible to categorize it. i would have to answer (c)

all round a great strain to have, like i said it's a keeper and i hope to run it again in a while. meanwhile i'm hoarding my last two top colas of the SD2, lol.

Hello Gaius, I've been waiting for this report. And so glad that you like the smoke. It's gratifying to see you have yor own SD as I remember smoking some of my stash with you. And you seemed to like it. (you could just be being a nice guy). The White Widow, the Sour D, the Strawberry d. Id say your headed for a good 2007. Take care, and Happy Holidays.

oh yes Smokey, i sure did like your SD. in fact it was that SD that turned me on to the SDv3 seeds. i wanted to try and get something close to what i tasted from you. those seeds really paid off, lol. look forward to seeing you at the 420 i hope.

thanks man. it in no way needed 12 weeks of cure, this pheno was a great smoke the day it was dry, lol. although the cure has refined it that's true.

this SD was grown on a sog table on coco slabs with drippers, using canna nutrients, including the bioboost, cannazym, rhizotonic as well as the coco a+b. i make sure to flush them 5 days before harvest with a whole tank of water at once throwing away the return until the nutrients have all been rinsed out of the coco, then i refill the tank with plain phed water and let the drippers do their thing till harvest day, by which time the fan leaves are all yellowing nicely and the taste is incredible and can not be told apart from earth grown if done right with a good strain.

the coco is biological, i use the same slabs for up to 4 runs.

here a few more pics

trying to get you some cool trichome action, but i don't seem to quite have the hang of this borrowed external flash for macros.

4186sd12-med.jpg

i know, not very focused, but it gives you an idea of the trichome coverage on the sd in a summer grow with temps reaching 30°

4186sd19-med.jpg

i was also forced to keep the nute level low for the ww which was filling the main part of the table. i want to do this SDv3 again in the cooler time of the year and allow he a bit more food at the beginning. should be fun and rewarding, eh.

anyway thanks to all of you and all the best for the holidays

this stuff has a real nice silvery shimmer to it and is altogether quite attractive. very nice resin content and the trichome heads were turning amber quicker then with all the others being tested.

Note: this is a sharp kind of taste, spicy and hazey. at the same time that taste of trichomes :D

3. 7_ Taste

Rate your impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant-delicious.
Comment:

4. _7_ State of dryness

Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.

5. _6_smoke ability

Rate the smoke ability of the sample from 1-10 harsh-smooth.

Comment: it's much smoother since the cure, but it's not my favorite. non the less still have the mum for another go.

6. _5_ Smoke expansion

Rate how the smoke expands in the lungs from 1-10 stable-explodes.

7. _8_ Intensity

Rate how high the smoke got you. 1-10 nothing to maximum effects.

Comment: no complaint in this department, lol. in fact friends have felt overwhelmed after smoking this.SDv3 pheno 1. it's one of the things i like about it. you know when you've smoked it, hehe.

8. _2_ Type of High. Use combination of #'s if needed.

1.Head
2.Mix
3.Body

comments: it's a nice even mix of head and body. i can imagine this one as a nice pheno for a stealth grow, as it doesn't smell strong while growing, but still tastes strong when you smoke it, as well as hitting you up well with a dose of thc.

its very interesting this pheno as it totally lacks that kind of rhubarb smell that the classic SD is known for. but it certainly has a fuel back ground taste.

Pics for this pheno in a bit

hi Smoked2Death

i must say, the sd 1 pheno is my least favorite of the three. just lacks that nice taste when you're smoking it. even if it is quite strong. anyway here are a few shots of the SDv3 pheno 1.

thanks filimagno, i appreciate the kind words.

the coco makes some nice tops.

i'm actually looking forward to seeing a coco grow done with organics. so far the system i use combines both biological ingredients with mineral. a lot of chelate based ingredients makes the canna coco totally water soluble. which means once you flush your nutes out of the slabs, they are empty and the plant is starved for a few days making it use up all N reserves leaving you with a very tasty and smelly product, that burns with a clean white ash tasting great already before the cure if the genetics used are half way decent.

can you tell, i'm a coco fanatic :D

Hey Gaius. Of the four females I got out of one pack of SD V3:s, I had basically two phenos, with some variety between them. Of the four, I've now discarded two. I found all pretty much had the same potency, but one was very racy and had to go 85 days + to take some of that raciness out of it (being quite strong, it gave some of my friends panic attacks, to the point they didn't want anymore Sour Diesel). I culled it. The other one that got the ax was a typical Sour Diesel pheno, it grew well in soil but not in hydro, therefore of no use for me. Her sister (same pheno), which I kept, grows well in both. The second keeper is a freak pheno that yields twice as much as any of the other phenos. Not a typical SD, but you can complain when you have a plant that yields like a Big Bud and smokes like a Sour Diesel?

Too racy, got culled.

Typical SD pheno, grows well in soil and hydro. A keeper.

A funny look, grew well in soil but a runt in hydro. No pics of the monster yielder, but it'll come eventually.

Whilst I'm here, would you say that your SD was sensitive to ph whilst growing? :chin:

i wouldn't really know, cause i kept the ph stable. although i think i didn't feed them enough in the beginning, as they were sharing a table with the WW.

Hi Rosy Cheeks mate, great to have your SDv3 pheno descriptions here too. i love the look of your fat yielding pheno, lol. specially if it's as tasty as the others.

the one you called a typical sdv3 seemed a tad too leafy for my taste. i also had a couple of Basic Diesel phenos that turned out incredibly leafy.

we were growing our sd practically at the same time as far as i remember, i think it would have done a bit better even, if i'd given them a bit more nutes early on. still, when i looked at the yield per watt it was very good. but when i see your fat ladies, i wonder...:D
