Scroging clones without vegging

I've searched and can't find the answer I'm looking for.

I've grown several times before but never scrog.

MY MAIN GOAL IS TO CONTROL HEIGHT.

My plan is to have a separate screen for each plant and treat the grow like a SOG.

I know that sats, indicas, and hybrids are going to have different growth rates especially in flower. I'm just looking for a little guidance.

Will the plants fill out a 1 ft square screen give or take if I put clones directly on 12/12 schedule?

Would LST be a better option?

Completely depends on your pheno if it fills out your scrog. I doubt you'll get pure indicas filling it out from clone. From clone is one of the only times I like totem phenos or those with big main colas. You'll probably need to go more sativa or hybrid to fill out a scrog 12/12 from clone and even then the pheno and vigor will matter.

I figured that I would have to play with it and either change the strain, increase/decrease size of screen, or maybe veg a short time.

Your info does give me a starting point though.
