SCROG: Should I cut the growth tips off??

I've been doing my little SCROG project for a few weeks now and have been tying things down, exposing sites to light, etc.

I am wondering: Do people usually snip the growth tips off? I ask this because as I tie down, I notice the main growth shoot keeps growing and growing. Eventually I won't have room to accomodate it anymore and was wondering if some people just cut it off so it doesn't grow from there yet grows from all of the shoots created by being exposed to the light that will go through the screen? Get what I'm sayin? Anyone know?

from most experiences i've read people just do LST
cutting shoots off will delay growth

Nope, not that, instead completely chopping off the end. The main growth shoot keeps growing and is growing at a faster rate than the rest of all the intermediate shoots.

ok, thanks for the advice, I guess I'll do that. Is it ok to clip off a leaf every now and then? I tuck them as much as possible but have been cutting one off every week or so

Pull the main stem down as low as the bottom branch and keep it tied there. This will send auxins to the rest of the limbs and they will all believe they are the "top" , the main stem will no longer be dominant. All branches will grow as if they are the "top". Do not pinch the plant as that will just slow it down and is not needed to scrog. Hope this helps

If u wanna top it top it. It wont hurt anything and doesn't really halter growth much at all. In scrogging its not necessary to top but i think i prefer topping it. Check out the way i trained my plant.
