ScrOG question for PC Grow Box

Hey all!

I have a question regarding ScrOG placement inside a micro grow. Hopefully I'll be as clear as possible.

Here is a picture of my current setup:

This is my first time growing and I have been following the amazing advice of members here as well as other internet friendlies who are experienced with growing pot.

The first thing I was told, because I'm using CFL's in a tight space was: Get the plants as close to the lights as possible. Since then I have always kept the canopy of the plants between 1.5-2 inches from the bulbs. This, I think has been great for it's growth because each one of these 26W bulbs output around 1500 lumens.

This current case is around 17" tall, 17" long and 8" wide and has 3 x 26 watt CFLs.

In two weeks, these babies will be moving to The new, custome designed case, is 22" tall, 18" long and 8.5" wide and will have 4 x 26 watt CFLs even spaced out along the top. The air flow will be improved too. The plant will have exactly 13.5" of grow space inside this container.

When I start off my next batch of seeds, I will be putting books under the catch tray to prop them up right under the lights and continuously remove the risers as the plants grow.

The question is:

1) How can I maintain having my plants very close to the lights while using a scrog? I know at first the scrog won't be there as the plants will need to grow enough before introducing the LST. Ideally, the scrog should be close enough to the plant so that you can start weaving branches through so that the canopy is short and bushy while giving plenty of vertical space to allow the flowering to grow up, but the very concept of that means that the scrog has to be far enough from the lights to allow for that vertical growth which basically means that the plants themselves will probably be closer to 6-7 inches from the light...

The only way I can think of this not being an issue is to have the ScrOG mounted on top of the catch tray so that the distance from plant to scrog is always the same and it changes distance from the lights as the risers are removed and the plants grow, I just don't know if this is the best way.

Your suggestions are very welcome. I really hope this makes sense. Thank you!

hi, lookin nice. personally i would mount the scrog on the pots so that you can move the plants around and stuff. id go with two square screens that fill up the entire space you will flower them in(assuming its two plants at a time? or else how ever many you are doing)

but off the trey will work just as well if you feel comfortable doing that
