ScrOG Grow Help

Hi All
first time grower thinking of doing a scrog grow in my closet
thinking of having 2 areas both roughly 1.5ft deep, 3ft long and 5.5ft high
with 1 area doing veg and one for flowering to get a perpetual harvest system going
using a 250w HPS light in each area
Question: how many plants would be good for this area in a scrog grow?
Is it possible to have a mother under the 250w in the veg area to clone from and then clone the plants straight off for the veg phase?
Appreciate your help
Cheers

I've got 6 lanky Sativas crammed into about twice that space, so I'd say 3 plants to play it safe. Let em fill most of the screen and flip.

I was going to say 2 plants in flowering at any time, both with a 18"x18" foot print. Too many plants in your scrog and it'll get overcrowded.

Then again, that 250w hps is only good for an area of about 18"x18", so you'll need four of them total to do it right.

If you want a perpetual garden scrog isn't the best choice because it takes so long to veg. SOG is a better choice. I would only do scrog perpetually if I had to keep under a certain number of plants.

modular scrog works well for perpetual - check my diaries if you want. i use just over a square foot for each pant, 4 under a 250.

for that size area scrog sounds like a good way to go, esp for a 250w. modular scrog rocks and if u are trying for perpetual then that sounds like the best bet. also you could try LST somewhere i saw someone using tomato cages as a base to tie the plant up he seemed to have good luck

the footprint of the light will depend on the reflector - but i would say 2ft deep and maybe 2.5-3ft wide may be better. you want 50-60 watts/square foot for maximum efficiency

My space is 22x29x54 inches (0.07 fewer square inches than your's). I wouldn't dream of more than a single sativa in that space.
