Screwed up my clones? What would you do?

Light: 600w HPS Air cooled enclosed hood
Soil: 60% FFOF, 30% FF Light Warrior, 10% Perlite /w dolomite lime sprinkles on top.
Temp: 72-90F

I picked up clones of various strains about 2 months ago. A total of 6 different clones were kept under 2 35w CFL during that time. They were also kept in 20oz dixie cups until 2 weeks ago, I kept them in the small cups to keep them small.

Anyways during the 2 months 4 of the plants grew to about 1 1/2 feet. 3 of those 4 are to tall and have little leafs. They have some leafs on the bottom and a few small in the middle with no branches, the leafs grow right out from the stem. The top has alot of newer healthy growth but it is at the very top.

The plants are not growing correctly for the space I have to work with. What can I do to save these clones? Could I chop the tops of those that have alot of growth and try to root the larger cutting? Would the original plant grow again from the point I had cut?

Cut it back and it'll grow back from the lower nodes. You did put them in larger pots? Have you been fertilizing?

You most assuredly need to top them if you are working with limited space. The stretch during flowering can be devastating for someone ill prepared for it. I am curious what size pots they are in as well. :chin:

The plants were transplanted into 1 gallon pots from the 20oz cups. Watering schedule has been about once a week with the 60% FFOF, 30% FF Light Warrior, 10% Perlite mix. So far I have also given them dolomite lime on the tops of the soil before watering. The last few weeks I have been feeding them with 1/2 the recommended dose of Grow big and Big Bloom.

They have been in flowering for 2 weeks now and are showing the hairs on bud sites. At this point I would rather do it right then risk having a garden out of my control.

So if I turn the lights back to 24/7 and top them to the lowest node at the bottom would that start me on the right track again?

P.S. I will post some pics later today.

I didn't notice you had said she was in flower. That is totally different....

OK, I reread your posts. OK, you need to get her shorter, right? Bend that bitch over! WOOHOO!! Pinch the stalk where you want her to bend and roll the stalk between your thumb and forefinger to break up the tissue. Now just let her flop there. The stalk will grow back at an angle now. You can keep doing this as often as you want, but try not to continue it once your buds are really forming. Topping will kill your yields at this point. It sounds like you've just got pole type plants, which is fine. Does she look healthy though other then no branching? No branching doesn't mean they're not healthy in of itself. I would get them in an even bigger pot though if you can. The bigger the better.

What 20k said. Just train the unruly girls to the way that you want them to grow. Bend them, tie them whatever but at this point in the game you'd be better off to finish flowering them out then trying to re-veg and prune IMO.
