I assume that i have used the ballast while these cracks where there also..

But im wanna be 100% sure that i dont fuck my grow up (fire)

Hope u can help me out.

It almost kind of looks like they're supposed to be there for good electrical contact haha. Was it always like this? Does the bulb screw in firmly? Worst comes to worst, you can get a new 5kv rated mogul socket online for pretty cheap, or if you have an electric supply store close to you, they will usually have a few in stock.

edit: Is this an E39 medium base, or a mogul base? What lamp and ballast are you using?

Thanks for ur reply..

I think its called E40 maybe? (live in the north of europe)

Im using a 125 w white cfl for veg period..

Ive grown alot LR#2s before with a 200w red cfl the past year.. and then ive had a break growin for 6 month and first now i did see this... it does not fit that well in the socket.. but with some power i can make it there..

I'd just order a new one. I think you would be safe in the mean time, but I am in no way guaranteeing this. You only need to order the mogul base itself. (Mogul bases are 39-40mm in diameter, so check just to make sure it's the right one).

That's what I was thinking at first haha.. Just wasn't sure.. I've never seen one like that, but definitely understand the principle.
