On December 3,2015 Scott Weiland was found dead on his tour bus around 9PM before his band Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts was to go on stage in Minnesota.

No reason for his death has been given, but when i head about it, 1st thing that came to my mind was drugs. I was a big Stone Temple Pilots fan in the 90's, so this hits home pretty hard :(

Sit tibi terra levis, Scott.

Wow. I am shocked, but shouldn't be. He was talking about wanting to reunite too. Know his performances where off lately. Sad. Spent alot of time listening.

RIP

Yeah, could be drugs or result of years of heavy intoxication. Either way, it takes it's toll.

12 Bar Blues....RIP.

As someone who has been classified with an emotional disorder as a child I can only identify with the intensity of emotion that this world brings, and if it wasn't for my relationship with this plant (and the people who it brings into your life) I wouldn't be any different than Scott, i.e. a dead junkie.

So sorry to hear about this. It seems like some of the best musicians/artists are really tortured souls. I think the pain they experience in their lives helps with their creativity but it also hurts them physically and mentally at the same time. Some turn to drugs, some are lucky enough to be able to exercise their demons through their art without falling into the hard drug scene.

I was watching an old interview Scott did with Howard Stern about 5 years ago and he was explaining how he had to tour to make money to support his lifestyle. He estimated his monthly nut at about 60k in child support/alimony and other expenses, so he had no choice but to tour relentlessly. It was sad to watch that interview in hindsight. I'm sure if it was up to him, he would have quit touring and just started painting more or writing more books or spending more time with his kids.

RIP Scott. You made some great music while you were here.

Sad when some one with so much talent dies at a young age. Extremely sad that it seemed to be his destiny with his well known drug binges.

Core was the first CD I ever bought when I was a kid, so many memories and road trips with STP in the background, I always get that back in the day feel when I listen to them!

RIP Scott, one of the best! You will live on thru your music!

It's sad someone that talented died so young but apparently he wasn't much of a father...
