It depends. Fresh dope still sticky is a mess in the grinder, so scissors.Sometimes grind up semi-scissored dope if going into adoob, for the consistancy. Drier buds in the grinder for sure, but be careful not to make powder. Unless going into a vape cannister.

More than one tool in the drawer for the job.

Sharp scissors are too dangerous for me. I have a propensity to bleed whenever I pick up tools and sharp implements. I keep Band-Aids readily available at all times by the kitchen sink. A grinder is much safer.

tweezers - i like to disassemble the bud, dropping bits and bytes into the glass vial, then load into the vape.

Since I cant roll by hand anymore I use a grinder. I have really bad arthritis, I was bummed I couldn't roll by hand anymore.

Stitch scissors always! i hate smash my precious trichs in a grinder, i try to cut small amounts of calyxes and right to the vape pen!

I use scissors and hands mostly because grinders (90% of them) are aluminium or plastic and they do wear out and I don't want to puff that.

Still using the same pair of 4in. surgical snips I swiped from the Emergency room after they finished stitching me up.
