Hello Folks,

I was sitting here reminiscing of old times, smoking a fat one, listening to one of my favorite musicians. His name is Joe Satriani, anyone heard of Him?

I'd like to share with you two of his songs, they are both great:

Flying In A Blue Dream

Rubina
http://youtube.com/watch?v=vYJswf61-f4

Ignore the text comments on 'Rubina', there seems to be a little flame-war going on between some kids. Just sit back with your favorite strain and enjoy the show...

If you like his stuff I reccommend picking up some of his albums, hope you enjoy!

I've heard that name before, I'll try and find something

Surfing with the alien is a great one, although 'Not Of This Earth' is really him at his best

Keep it green! :canabis:

He's one of those "elite" guitarists - up there with Eddy. Awesome.

Isn't he a Toronto / Canadian boy?

Satch! He turned down an offer to be a permanent member of Deep Purple in 93', after stepping in for their japanese tour. The original Ibaneze tube screamer was a plain old stomp box until he said "I like this thing" and sure enough the box became a collectable, just check out e-bay. Also in the late 80's an Ibanez guitar went for $190 US, yeap, you guessed it, Joe started playing one, and the rest is history.

Can you imagine giving Steve Vai guitar lessons? He must of had a bag full of technique!

Something about him seems canadian, I got that too but he was born July 15, 1956, in Westbury, New York, and as far as I know has lived in Cali for quite awhile
