(Boxed) seems to get some folks toward stable...for me..understanding why and which male to keep is the magic I don't understand...

Heck yeah that would be difficult with a poly. As for the male you really need to make some F1's with a few different fems (varieties) then pop the F1's and see what's carried over from each parent.

Does anyone have more detail /photos of Ape's Casey cut? I picked up some cuts a month or so before they got shut down that were supposedly Diablo OG, but ended up being very non-OG, and all the clubs I showed the results to suggested it had Casey Jones characteristics. Looking up some Casey grows, there are definitely some similar traits while growing. I believe that the Joe Schmoe cut was advertised there from time to time, so I imagine this might be it. Regardless, it's very nice and vigorous.

I'm not reversing anything, using normal male/female pollination, just seeds from the same mother.

This is interesting to me. I've been told that CFLs put out tons of UV at close distances, to the point where various European groups have been running tests on their safety at various distances. 1240's LEDs came with stickers on them warning about the UV level output.

I have been wondering about HPS UV production. I know metal halide is supposedly loaded with UV, but does HPS fall short in UV and that's the reasoning behind the low CBD levels from indoor? The flower sample I grabbed at Harborside was tested at 9.5% and the smoke from my Harlequin clone was definitely just as CBD potent.

Is there a measurement or chart that shows UV output based on light source? A UV lumen output of sorts. I would be interested in seeing just how much of a difference there is, and then compare that to the great outdoors.

i think mel frank went into this subject in one of his (only?) books. and i believe murcury vapor was found to put out the most uv production.... out door growers will sometimes before the use of the ghetto bird, plant on mountain tops and hill sides claiming a better over all product w enhanced resin production.

MH comes second i believe but could be wrong, then HPS.

helll yeah his diablo og and that shrom where one of the many strains i grew my first time eva eva eva and dayuuuuuuuuuum i loved that SHROM wish i could run her again and smoke her again missss that girl.the diablo i ended up fukn it up cuzz i let it go to long so that ended up in the trash lol but hey i knoe 4 a fact that shit is sum kill shitttttt it made my homey trow up!!!!! and he said never in his life a herb made em do that and hes a puffed a gang of strains....props to the sd fellaz killin shit!

First a little disclaimer: I am not a scientist, I do not have any authority to interpret these results. I am a stoner and a grower. The only thing I can affirm is that these results are accurate and factual. What you do / decide with this info is totally up to you.

Moving on…

So the test results are in. The sample of BHO that I had tested (My trim, another IC members extraction) came in at 94.64% Delta 9 THC with another 0.84% other cannabinol present. That leaves 4.5% other substances. Of those substances I had the report limited to the top 40. Here are a few of them and there values as well as a few short notes. I am still researching these compounds but my first guess is that the benzene although present in very small quantity is going to be a doozie. Although I cannot perform a combustion test to see how much is actually present after burning / smoking

Here you go:

0.21% .alpha. – bisabolol : a known anti inflammatory and is possibly has cancer fighting properties. There are a few papers written on it and it is being further researched as we speak
0.09% caryphyllene : an essential oil and terpene
0.11% 1H-Indole, 5-methyl-2-phenyl : Fragrant

Now for the not so good
0.56% 1,2 – propanediamine : propane residue and butane isomer
0.23% bicyclo [3.1.0] hexane : toxic
0.14% benzene : toxic
0.10% 2H- 1-benzopyran – 5 – ol : toxic
0.41% zh – 1 – benzopyran – 5 – ol : toxic

Okay, that’s all I’ve got. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I do have the full report printed out but beyond what I have posted above it’s mostly greek to me.
