Just dry the buds as usual and then break them apart to find the seeds. .. Don't harvest the seeds from fresh buds right?

thanks!

But you should open one of the bracts to be sure the seeds are fully developed.

Some people sometimes wait for the the seeds to "shell out" busting/splitting the bracts open themselves.

I'd just do the first thing.

Hey so i bothered GT abt this in PM but what the consensus abt seed harvesting. (i know i could check out the breeders lab but i dont like to leave SDF.)

I don't see any seeds ready to pop but my assumption is that come harvest time i just dry the buds as usual and then break them apart to find the seeds? .. you don't harvest the seeds from fresh buds right?

thanks!

Take it Sleazy. <---- workaholics. if you haven't seen it, you should.

I found that valley pollen didnt produce nearly as many seeds as i had hoped... It must not have been as viable as we had thought.
Or its possible valley just produced very small seeds, cause i dont really see many at all.. And i really pollinated the fuck out of them...

I hit a couple lower branched of purple urkle and purple joy with some sour dubble, and those seeds are bursting everywhere that i hit, with lots of them easy to notice. SO i just assume the sour dubble pollen was much more viable than the valley

ive found from what little experience ive had with sfv crosses is that the seeds are on the small side. my triple kush crosses seeds seem to be on the small side also.

That is bad news. How far away are you from harvesting the seeds. The valley99 weren't small seeds.

Hey SD peeps. North county rep here, but i'm a few counties aay at the moment.

Question tho, anyone have any veg/flower pics of the great P91? I got a cut,, but i'm extremely skeptical. Never seen her grow, but know her well.

I see someone mentioned Valley a page or two ago... I got a valley og gifted. Is there some boutique OG named valley, or is this the sfv x chem hybrid?

Love the thread, warms my heart :)

Nata mentioned to me that he pollinated 4 weeks ago. If he takes his girls another 2 weeks...6 weeks total should be more than long enough. I'm a little concerned that if he starts diggin into bracts now, he may fuck up some immature seeds.

The Valley was by far the most resistant to STS reversal. If we don't get good enough results from this round I'll try again in a couple of months.

Nata - if the calxes are drying up and turning brown, you can pluck a few beans out of them if you want to get a couple early starts. Otherwise, wait till the girls finish up, then toss the buds in a grinder and use a *light touch* as you roll back and forth. I sep out all my beans this way.

Sorry for the double post. Yeah, i pollinated at 3.5 or 4 weeks and i'm letting them go 75 days. So should be plenty of time for the seeds to mature. And i am keeping an eye on them.. i'm just getting worried that i messed something up b/c i cant see much / if any difference from any other calyxes.

I guess it doesn't matter now. I will just dry as normal and break up the seeded buds by hand (my other hand will have my fingers crossed).

Wont be long now. I'm past 9 weeks...

Hey Terp. ..I have some nice sativas going over here. hint hint.

Speaking of beans...I had cracked a bunch and they all ended up male except this stout lass...at 11 inches tall and 18 inches wide, it doesn't get more indica than this...I dunno who the baby daddy is, but she came from a BHT HB nug grown by Sub.

Yes LOL I wasn't aware it was only four weeks, but I assumed it was about harvest time here that is why he was asking? Six weeks for sure!

You should definitely do another STS reversal of the valley :)

You guys are certain the pollen was viable, nobody has seen any swollen bracts who used the pollen?

I had some OG beans from a project a member here is working on, they were on the smaller side certainly.

there are definitely some seeds, just not as many as i would have hoped.
I had a small bud of chem d break off early, and there was a premature seed inside it. So i know theres for sure some in there.
I see some swollen calyx that look like there is a seed in there.
But the urkle that i hit with the sour dubble pollen, has like huge obvious bursting out seeds showing
