I did not think folks sold seeds here. I was really looking a seed company that sells Salmon Creek. I did find a source for them at Weed Farmer forum after I posted this thread.

Im pretty sure Salmon Creek is Salmon Creek Big Bud which is supposed to be the original Big Bud. Bred by Tom Hill who rocks.

scbb is a select clone from the '95(i think) sensi bigbud stock. so your best bet would be sensi bigbud, however, that clone is a rare representation so you should get several packs and find a real good momma.

You can find it (SCBB) sometimes called Orange Bud. Forgot which seed company has it. Doing a search will yield results.

I find it to be a moderately good strain. Nothing elite about it. I smoked others versions, and grew it outside and inside myself. It was the original SCBB clone. It was just OK. Not too much better than that. Pretty buds though.

steve tuck used to offer one through Hillbilly dreams seed co.3lb per plant yields of mid-high end green bud with red/orange hairs.BC bigbud is similar and imo better.not too stable from seed.i believe its a skunk/afghan cross.

Tom Hill didnt breed the SCBB, Sensi seeds did! They took the Portland Big Bud clone hit it up wth some Skunk#1 and Booya! SCBB!

I have heard of the Salmon Creek Big Bud, most have or should have atleast.

The Mr. Nice seeds Critical Mass is a reworked big bud version to my understanding.

so ..... sensi seeds got a clone of the portland big bud and crossed it with some skunk...............

i dont know ,, i'll keep thinking the original Salmon creek big bud comed from Mendocino , near the gualala area...
:headbange

if tom hill was or not the breeder thats way too much to comment about , becouse i dont know if he was or not ..but it was a cali dude ,, i think ,,

PEACE

The Salmon Creek Big Bud clone was a particularly excellent example of Sensi Seeds Big Bud (circa '95). Brought back to California & saved by a Humboldt dread cannabis activist named Chris, RIP, out of Salmon Creek north of Garberville in Humboldt county. I had nothing to do with the breeding of it.
The SCBB was a magnificent grower & good smoke imo. I gave it a very high B & thought it blew away the likes of many popular clones from the area today- Purple Urkle & Snowcap immediately come to mind. I passed it along to the med clubs in Ukiah, Ca. I did a little breeding with it & got as far as a BC1- SCBB x (SCBB x PTK). I have a fistful of those seeds & have promised them to a member here who would like to explore its medicinal value, due to the rumors of a high CBD content. Like all valuable clones do eventually, this one likely fell to systemic infections, so breed em while you got em.

Best Regards,
Tom

Hi Pops,

Yes, the PTK is very few (probably like 3) generations removed from Pakistan some 3 decades ago.
