safe wattage for home?????

so i got a place that im gonna do some grows out of it is a home 2 bedrooms 2 baths i was thinking of using a 1000 hps in the home the house is only 1200sq ft but i can put them any where ....they dont care any way i cant run venelation so hopefully that will be ok since the grow space is fairley large im just wandering if 1000 watts is safe to run and not worry about people at the electricity station triping on how much electricity was bieng used all of the sudden........oh and i will only be using the 1000 watts for 12/12 for 2 months what do you think is this safe

My friend, there are people running 5-10,000 watts in the same situation. A 1000watt grow is like having 10 100watt light bulbs on at one time. Don't sweat the electricity. Just make sure that you control the smell and don't let light escape outside where anyone can see it. Watch your heat, as 1000w light takes a 3500watt air cond. to mitigate the heat.

1000W is nothing.

You can run 10,000W with no problem.

If you can't provide ventilation, you need an AC and CO2 tank, otherwise don't even bother.

You will run into mold issues, and many more issues if you don't have AC or ventilation.

its 50 degrees topps and gets to 30 at night out side and there is no heat other than the light i dont think it will get to hott i was actually going to run a heater in the night to cool it off....or do you think i am wrong?? there is a chimney pipe that is open dunno if that is enough ventalation and i will be goin in and out of the house dailey

I'd think you'd want ventilation just to keep the sweet reek of ganj from seeping out into the neighborhood. And it will.

If you'll check the link in my sig 'Tiger's Den - Previous Room' you can see how I used poly to make a false wall when I couldn't vent through the roof or walls. This could provide a solution for you that would allow you to ventilate any excess heat and carbon scrub.

I would at least have a carbon scrubber running in the room if you decide not to actively ventilate.

Also, a good rule of thumb is that homes generally use 1kw per room.

I run 3k in flower 1.8K in veg with AC's and dehumid in a house just about that size.I try and be there when the guy comes and reads the meter so that I can shut down and the meter isnt spinning like a frisbee on crack,if I miss him big deal.Pay your bill in full the day after you get it always,if there is a good customer list you want to be on it.

Some meter readers make a good part of their income informing on what they think are growhouses,when he reads my meter the front door is wide opoen and all loads are turned off normally

i think without ventilation your not going to get good results
i run about 1250 watts consistently for years..pay your electric bill a 1000 hps is like running two computers in your home as far as electrical consumption..the equation on electric cost is lets say 1000 watt hps+10 percent for the ballast = 1100 watts x 12 (for the hrs per day) = 13200 x how much per kwh you pay..lets say 15 cents = 66,000 divide that by 1000(because that is what a kwh =) = 66cents per day to run a 1000 watt hps.
