my bird died tonite and im sad. probably sadder then i should be. but he was my bro. the only living being(besides my plants) that i could be around for longer then 5 minutes without wanting to rip thier heads off (or mine).
he loved chillin in the grow room with the warm light, breeze and positive vibes! he would sit there and cluck and sing while i worked. im not one to blow smoke in an animals face, but i do let animals eat it. after the first few times he KNEW what would happen if he ate some! sometimes he would partake, sometimes not.
you guys get to hear about it cuz, well, like i said, i dont really have any friends. this is his goodbye. i know he was just a ****in bird, but he was my ****in bird, and my bro. so tonite, take a big rip for my stoner bird Sammy.....sub

so sorry to hear of the loss subrob, I'm an animal lover too bro. It never ceases to sadden me when I hear of someone losing their baby. I know this feeling all too well as I've lost (to age) many pets over my lifetime including my amazon baby bluefront parrot in 1979, a very sad day for me. The most devastating loss (most recent) was my dog Annie & I too am mostly alone, my dogs are my life bro. When I had to put Annie down I needed some help coping & found it here....... www.petloss.com
I wouldn't expect to find anyone there at this hour of the morning but sometimes they are there late. It is a chatroom setup with some very caring people that certainly know what you're feeling and going through. Very cool and caring people there rob.

I'm loading a big kief binger in honor of your fallen Sammy, you and Sammy will be in my thoughts bro, I hope the pain passes quickly for you.

I'm sorry for the loss of your Sammy Sunrob. What kind of bird was he and what happened? I have a small Goffin Cocatoo - Dennis, so I know how lovable they can be.

i feel for you man, they're a part of the family. Things will improve and you gave him a better life than he could've had elsewhere so don't feel bad.

Man that sucks... animals can be the best friends ever because they love you unconditionally and trust you with their life (not like they have a choice.. but you get my point). My dog (who lives with my mom) is so loyal and sweet I know I'm going to be a little teary eyed when she goes :\

I never thought I'd be a upset when my .. cat died, but I was a little depressed. She was 17 years old almost and we've had her since she was 5, she came from a home where the owners kept her in the garage in a cage because the guy found out his wife was allergic to her and thats how they dealt with her. They also named her Spock. She was a Calico and we renamed her Maggie and basically made redeemed ourselves in her eyes by building up trust and a relationship withher. Chillest cat ever. Most cats are hyper and IMO annoying, but this cat was one of a kind. After a few years of "rehabilitation" (lol) she would actually curl up on my chest as I layed on the couch and watch tv.. anyone else she would run away from the moment you looked at her, very untrusting of anyone. Then one day in January she just disappeared. In over 10 yrs she never ran off. We could leave her outside with no fences or restrictions and entice her with cat treats across the street (we never did, just an example obviously) and she wouldn't budge. But one day she started acting strange, wasn't acting herself, and then disappeared.

I read somewhere that cats do that when they are old and they know they are going to die, that they go off and find a place to die. It was pretty depressing not knowing for sure what happened. I don't thin I'll ever get another cat though. Cats ****ing annoy me.

I want a dogo.

hey animals can be friends also!!!
i think u need some time to grieve but you should get another one! not that it will replace your old friend, but hopefuly you'll take less pills, val is dangerous. spend some extra time in your victory garden.

Yeah, birds are pretty damn cool. My brother had a bird but it killed itself, we think. One minute he was playing with it and put it back into its cage, he comes back to give it some food and it had stuck its head in its water and basically drowned himself.

birds are really cool animals and smarter than some people think... i feel for you man.. it sux to lose them.. glad to hear he had a good life tho.. some birds just have to sit in their cage their whole life until they die.. pretty messed up

You sound like someone who gave an animal a good life so dont be sad. Be happy that you made life great for him while he was with you.

+k for giving a shit about him. There's not enough animal friendly people anymore.

I'm a crow lover myself. Great birds and very bright.

Good morning all. wow, what a great response from a great community. im doing much better today-its amazing what a dose of 12 hr drug induced sleep can do for you! i dont know why i started this thread when i did, it had just happened, but i am glad i did it. helped me last night, and helped me this morning.
Sammy was a white cockatiel. he was only 4. i rescued him from my exroomates ex fiance. they just kinda ignored him, so i took over. once they moved out he really got attached to me, and vice versa. how he died-well, it was an accident and i dont want to bum anyone out. he didnt suffer long, and i was there right after it happened and held him till he was gone.
thanks again for all the responses. and just thanks.....sub
