RVD420's Super Sliver Haze grow

I normally grow lowryder. But with the last set of LR seeds I got the freebie was some kick ass SSH F2s.

My grow cab is 2.9 sq ft.

I have 151w of CFL lighting.
1 105 Watt 5000K CFL grow bulb and 2 23 watt 2700K CFLs.

Looks decent for the low wattage. You'd do better with a T5 and a flat canopy (training) and slightly larger pots.

The girls were LST'ed when they were little to get them to be bushy and to promote groth of the undershoots.

Now in their home they are tied with twine to keep them as close to the lighting as possible without causing heat damage.

The cab has 2 1 1/2 inch holes at the bottom for passive air intake. With a small red fan by the holes to help circulate the air.

There is also a 4 inch computer fan (from a old power supply) at the top for an exhaust.

How tall is that space where you flower them?
Just by looks it may be a bit tight if you don't do tie those bitches down.

The space is 29 1/2 inches tall.

I have 4 clones that rooted out of 5 cuttings I took. I think that is pretty good for my First time taking clones.

On my next unemployment check I am going to look into getting another 105 watt CFL in the budget allows. If not I am going to swap out the 23 watt CFLS for 42 watt CFLS.

I got some 10 inch pots. But with the plants already in flower I don't know if I should up-pot, or if I should just save them for the clones when they are ready.

The grow box was a freebie.

I was working a small side job and the person was replacing cabinets. So I took one of the old cabinets.

I had the Flat white paint, the light sockets, cords, & fan.

I got the 105 watt bulb at the Hydro store for $10.00
It was a return. It didn't work for the person out of the box. I took a chance and bought it as-is. All I needed to do is fix a couple of cold solder joints in the ballast.

I had the 23 watt CFLS from a box of 6 I bought of the house a few months back.

Watered the girls with molasses water today.

1 tsp molasses to 1 gallon of water.

Girls really liked the molasses water.

Flowers added about 5% in size overnight.

Update: Girls were give molasses water twice this week.

Also some leaves suffered some heat damage. I had to leave the girls unattended for two days. A few leaves started to touch the bulbs. Also exhaust fan died. I replaced it with a new PC case fan.

Well I normally don't run SSH. I usually run Lowryder#2. And With Lr#2 I run a perpetual harvest pulling about 18 grams every 2 weeks.

But with these SSH I am expecting about 40 grams dry.

Also I take the girls out and put them in a window for about 4 hours a day just about every day.

Saves on the light bill and the girls love the sun.

Pulled some clones off the girls.

I think I am going to setup another cab.

One for my Lr#2 and one to run these SSH.

The runty one has a grapefruit smell to her.

Here is a bud shot. Not the biggest bud, but most of the bud on this plant are this size.

One has a Grapefruit smell

One has a cat piss smell

And one has a light fruity smell to her.

Looks like you don't have there that really hazy pheno?
That catpiss smell sounds good though.

AS long as the smoke is some flame it doesn't matter if I got a really hazy pheno.

Well the sampled popcorn bud gave a nice buzz. So I went an looked at the plants after I burnt the sample. Some of the top buds on the plant had about 15% Amber, 70% cloudy, and about 15 % clear. I decided to harvest the top buds (about the top 1/3) and I am going to let the plants run for another week and examine. I want to see how far I like these plants finished. I have 2 clones from each girl. So knowing how I like it finished will help in the future. Also within a day of trimming the top 1/3 the lower buds and a growth explosion. The lowers buds got fatter and many more white hairs after the harvesting of the top 1/3. I assume this is because of more light hitting those lower buds.
