rust type burns only on new growth seedlings

hello icmag!

i have 2 seedlings and the top of their new growth has a little orangish rust burns.

i did not have my exhaust running for about 3-4 days so it is possible it's a fungal type infection?

i did have the LED light fairly close, i'd say about 11-12 inches; i moved it back about 4-5 inches.

my humidity was about 20-30 during the 3-4 days the exhaust was off.

i'll try to post a picture as well.

thank you icmag.

i'm considering doing a aspirin or baking soda spray; but i'm concerned about the aspirin being nonorganic and me smoking the aspirin sprayed plants.

the plants are still in early veg; is it really okay to spray your early plants with aspirin? should i clean them off later?

Not a fungal issue. I think you need to add some calcium but I'm just guessing. You have necrotic spots on the new growth. I also think you need to add more fertilizer as she's yellowing on her bottom leaves.

I ended up topping the plants to remove the burn.

I now believe it's russet mites as it only returned but worse. They stalled out and never got higher. The new seedlings now atleast 2 weeks old is not growing. I made a cinnamon garlic spray and an iso spray, the plants do look better and are growing but i'm really considering starting over, they looklike shit.

Should I just start over and bleach the room/floor? I never bleached my equipment/room when I started
if I do start over do I need to get new soil? I really don't want to.

Get a scope and look at the spots to determine if it's russet mites or not. Looks like light burn to me, if that's the case the damage will still get larger as the leaf grows, but new growth will be unaffected..
