What do people normally use to catch runoff?

And do most growers just manually empty these plates/ let them evaporate, or do they have some sort of system that directs the runoff to a drain or something?

(I'm going to be getting some 10 gallon buckets for my pure sativa grow soon and I want to figure out a runoff system. I actually have a sewer drain the middle of the grow room; doing a vert donut grow.)

There called drip pans. I use a wet vac to suck out the Runoff.. You don't want them sitting in water IMO..

Another idea is to build a table with a slope and a drain on one end, its not to complicated if you have some basic carpentry skills. Simply make the legs on one side of the table 1/2" or an 1" shorter than on the other end. Cut a hole in the lower end and have a barrel or bucket below... no shop vac involved and you can use this method to save wasted nutrients
