Run fan 24/7 or 12/12???

Hey whats up guys, i just bought my first good exhaust fan, its a 6" Vortex, i was wondering if i should run the fan only when my lights are on or all the time...
or is it personal preference?

depends, on with lights of course, for heat and CO2 replacement.

but with lights off, you vent if the humidity gets too high, or temps too hight for some reason.

reasons to leave fan off - noise, power consumption, wearing out an expensive fan, possibly less odor spilling out with fan off.

also, having fans blowing stuff around can help strengthen your plants, so they grow bigger stalks and can carry more weight

well ive got the fans blowing around inside 24/7, but i just now put a timer on my vortex...thanks foaf!

keep your extraction fans running when your flowering your plants.

you dont want to give mould a chance to develop
