Rule #1

P

powerrobbie

That is by far not the number one rule dude.....Why in the fuck would anyone grow large amounts of marijuana in a place where it is illegal if they were not going to sell it? No one takes a risk like that without profit being involved. If you aren't a grower or even if you are you obviously haven't been growing your whole smoking career so how would you obtain meds if no one had the balls to sell them to you? The number one rule is "NO TELL" not no SELL. Though, If they were selling out of their right out of the house where the grow was then they pretty much deserve what happened to them....Illegal growers must be VERY smart with where and how they unload their meds but saying they are stupid for simply selling weed is just stupid IMO.

Thanks for setting me straight Robbie, most Robbies I know are stupid... but not you. By "sell" I meant street level deals, but you are right it all has to go., why not make a buck. I actually group No Sell, No Smell, No Tell together as rule one, but I'm quite sure they broke one of those three and most likely two or more of the three.

What's funny is if they have a doctors note they are all set... in the eyes of the law... until May 1st. They probably don't but they may, time will tell.

I find it odd though that the robbers didn't grab the 2 bows or all the cash. Well hidden or setup? How much did they grab? Why fire a shot but not into anyone? If I'm pulling a trigger someone is going into a bodybag.

For what it's worth I believe there is a lot more to this story, possibly pills, just knowing whats hot around here. Time will tell, I will be watching this story closely because I forecast the grower doing more time than than violent criminal. Just a hunch.

Must have been hidden well, but the police discovered it when they tore the place up.

Why fire a shot but not into anyone?
Maybe it was the thief firing the shot to scare those living in the home. This seems like a pistol whip/where's the fuckin' money scenario. I mean.. I think most B&E thieves are looking to steal/scare.. as apposed to committing murder on a regular basis.

Yea.. likely a lot going on in this story, but remember.. this type of shit can happen to anyone regardless of growing/selling/whatever.. Thieves/tweakers do not discriminate.

I disagree with the grower doing more time then the armed robbery. Might not even be ever charged.. and a good lawyer should be able to get that tossed. This is why outside padlocks are best on grow room doors. Make em go through layers of visible locks (meaning not lockable from the inside)...gives the lawyer something to work with.. as to why room was entered without warrant when clearly no assailants could enter/locking the door behind them. I realize gunshots from within the house gets them in the house, but the whole house search (if behind padlocks vs. doorhandle locks/deadbolts) can be picked apart.

Good point about the padlocks. For what it's worth, turns out this "elaborate grow" ...designed to grow a lot of pot(as the police said) was 2 lights so hopefully they can argue medicinal use but having cash and product on premises may hurt. Also nothing was said of plant count yet so maybe they were between runs. "The equipment is for my organic tomato garden occifer"

The story is still developing, it's changed 10 times in 24 hours. Originally one of the local tv stations reported the one victim shot and killed... so goes to show they just make shit up until the truth comes out, and even then who knows. Now they're saying one of the victims was wrestling for the gun when it discharged. This makes sense on the robbers' part, why alert the cops if you don't have to... maybe with more time they would have got more loot? Doesn't make sense on the dealer's part why wrestle for the gun? They knew who was robbing them... had been selling to them awhile(allegedly)... if need be deal with it when you're in a better position, if that's how you roll.

This shit can happen to anyone, but limiting your exposure limits your risk. Three people know I grow, me, my wife, and my lifelong friend who moves our overflow. Nobody is calling me looking to pickup then kicking my door in 30 mins later. That's my point of don't sell.

That being said I have no cash/product in the house right now... moving forward though I'm gonna throw some decoy cash and product in my safe so if this shit happened (nearly impossible) I can hand it over, because its not worth a gun battle.

And here for years and years and years I've thought rule number one was don't tell ANYONE. Now that's bastardized. Thanks for the enlightenment. :p
