Hi, first post! I have a question. My buddy ordered 10 highland Thai seeds from RSC. He received 40, and gave me 10. They’re 18 days old and look Afghani. Maybe someone could identify the strain by the leaf? Here a picture

HI buddy, definitely not looking like sativas and not looking like Thai, but ya can't really tell till the plants become sexually mature and throws the flowering leafs... Anyway let me ask u something. U sure DE 30+seeds you received were Highland Thai as well? They were in the same eppendorf? Usually they put some plastic ziploc with the name written on it and some eppendorf vial inside with the seeds. I know it's a silly question but just in case...

Looks thick leaved to be a sativa, is generally an indica trait. Beyond that, it's almost impossible to ID a plant strain by just a picture over the internet. It's possible to say, yeah that looks like X or it doesn't look like Y, but the only way to ever be sure is genetic test. And since Phylos is a bunch of shit stains, lemme know if you find a test place that isn't.

There is no need for a DNA test to understand that he is not a Thai, they have probably confused the seeds, sometimes it happens, contact RSC or nagkpa...

Agreed, we can easily look at it to tell what it isn't, but to identify the plant a genetic test is the only way to be sure. Or I guess smoking the product and keeping a huge database

Those look to be the freebie afghans. Possibly buzzards Hawaiian afghan or the mystery afghan from spain? Also free would have been kumaoni but it doesn't look like that is it. Looking good whatever they Are! Good luck
