Hi i was wondering if i can make rosin with dry sift "kief, sand" ? And if a clothing iron would work? Thanks

I've made rosin with dry sift before and it turned out fantastic. I'm not so sure about the clothes iron though. It would probably be worth it to invest in a hair straightener. :)

Used to do that when mailing hash back to the states in a card...parchment paper, iron on low, it spreads out. dry kief works well too.

Try it. You need pressure holding iron down and medium heat.

Parchment and a hair straightener works great when working with sift. Put the sift in tea bags, and then inside the parchment. Ime sift produces very buddery rosin. Big presses are great if you need them, but sift seemed to need very little pressure to produce super results for personal use.

Wont you get electricuted? Is that like sticking a fork in a toaster?

No....we're talking clothes iron. Did it for years. And not with hair straightener either....you are not near electrical conductivity.

Parchment paper....you find in the baking aisle of a grocery store....inexpensive and better to scrape residue.

I could easily do a quarter ounce at a time, especially if you pre press it with your hands first. I just assumed you were talking about personal stash use, my mistake. We use big presses as well, check out my boy Heady blunts thread. When I need a big press to use I go to his place. You can press as much as you can fit in the surface area of the straightener. I have thought about using an iron myself, my wife who doesn't smoke suggested it. Thought about attaching 2 of them to a table press and making a large hashmastakut style press.
