Make sure to poke holes in the bottom of the bag. for drainage. and cut off the top. they make a nice 30 gal pot with 20 gallons of dirt in it! I use 707 dirt for my entire garden. I had a late start. was only able to put my ladies in the july 21st. into 30 gallon smart pots with 707 soil ... 45 days later there taller than me and im 6 feet tall!
you can plant anything in 707... i have tomatoes and broccoli and all kinds of stuff in the 707 including my 215 ladies everything is really thriving in the 707 soil!
Haven't tried the 707, but the regular & the greenfields are part of my rotating mix. Good stuff.
I like a fairly fine even texture for seeds so I push whatever I'm using thru a 1/4" wire mesh screen. Planting in larger containers, you can achieve the same effect with screened soil in pockets at the top.
It's just a little easier going for 'em with no big chunks in the way.
I use all the Roots organics soils. 707 is best for clones, original is great for Veg and greenfield kills it in flowering.
ive transplanted clones into each one of them though without harm to any plants. be sure to add 1 Tbs of dolomite for each gallon of soil though as roots seems to run acidic.
