It's all about the temps...

If ya have the correct temps. you don't need any rooting hormones, doesn't matter if it's soil or water.... Gods gift to this man is my hottie o'lady I call "honey" makes my root grow every time ! I think that might be a hormone though.... hehehe take care...BC

Honey is supposed to work as well as Willow Water I have heard. Human saliva will also do the trick according to old school farmers. Olivia's and others like it are nothing more than a light fertilizer that the plant can't use until it has roots or root bumps anyway. I prefer the strong stuff - Dip-N-Grow, which I think has the strongest mix of IO3 and NAA. There's a reason Arborists use it to clone trees. I use a variety of methods including rockwool, ez cloner and rapid rooters. Best success in the EZ-Cloner WITH Dip-N-Grow. I ph the water to 5.5, add the rest of the unused Dip-N-Grow to the tank, run the pump 24/7, the temps stay in the upper 70's and the babies pop full roots in a week. Tried without the hormones and didn't get nearly the same success.

Hope that helps!!!

Edit: And scarification works wonders. I rarely place an actual node under to be rooted. I just scar the stem.
