rooting gel?

Does rooting gel get contaminated if you try and reuse it? say u get a jar and dip cuts, close the jar and reuse the same solution a few weeks later. My pops was telling me it gets contaminated and to always pour it into a shot glass instead of dipping clones in the container it came in

It may be, but definitely wouldn't sweat it but in the future use a shot glass

it's always instructed to keep everything as sterile as possible, and that's good to practice. That being said, I usually buy the smallest jar of gel, use most of it, then in the future use the remainder of said used jar or jars when running low on supplies and I've never had a problem. It's best to remove all the variables that can prevent one from rooting cuts, bacteria, being one of them, but many get by ok being pretty unsanitary...me being one of those dirty bastards. I have used Olivia's cloning gel for years. Cuts straight into the container with never a single issue. Like Otis said, I have pieced together jars and used them with no issue.
Just another dirty bastard like Otis. LOL
